Cat Scrimmage

I think an ethical and proper thing for a school to do would be to yield their "co" champion status in a case like the cat EWU situation in which EWU went on to win the National Championship. Can the cats honestly feel like champions in that case? Only in their minds maybe. But then an ethical team would honor it's contract and willingsness to meet the competition be playing in Fargo this coming season.
No program in it's right mind would ever "yield" such a thing. Why the hell would they? Even you can't believe your own bullshit. Only in your mind, maybe.
I believe it's univerally agreed upon that college football and athletics are all about money. So, when you have an opportunity to increase the money coming into the program, you take it, as is the highest priority, is it not?
Am I sad we aren't playing NDSU? Yes. I wish we could, but we aren't. Game over. Keep beating that :dead:

Cats have a history of sliding into the playoffs as well as being "CO" champions. When is the last time they were the sole champions of the conference? Far too many times they have been the benefactor of circumstance just as DM has been in his games against the Griz 2011 and 2012 are good examples.
+1 ... When, if ever, have the cats ever been the sole champs? Ever?
the b.s.c. site has a list of champions. m.s.u. has been the sole champs seven times. last time was '84.
Thanks. I guess I could jumped over there to look myself. Lol. Well, either its about their turn or its never gonna happen. I honestly don't see it happening this season. They've lost a few guys, but their D looks strong. I don't think they're gonna have what it takes tho. Especially if they can't get their center under wraps.

The D is looking very strong. The center problem practically disappeared in this past weeks scrimmage. The OL is much bigger and stronger. The QB position is much stronger based on the play of DM and Bleskin and the backups Mitch Greibel and Dakota Prukrop. The additon of TR is a real plus. Tim Cramsey the new OC brings an exciting new offense. He engineered UNH to the playoffs nine consecutive years. The Cats will be much stronger this year!

So, it depends on what you do after conference play to determine who is the "real" conference champion? I see.
on one hand the head to head winner makes sense, but when two teams have one loss each it's also worth noting who they lost to. m.s.u. may have beat e.w.u., but they lost to lowly n.a.u. the eags only loss was to the one loss cats. calling it a tie makes sense that way but if you have to pick just one then head to head is the obvious way to go.

Latest scrimmage video. (Starts at 3 mins for the Griz and at 2 mins for the cats)
