After hearing the reports of bad snaps 6 months prior to the season in spring ball and the certainity of it not getting fixed, I've decided to turn my season tickets back in. Hopefully the lady at the window won't drop them when I hand them over... :(

:? Uh...OK, good for you! Realize that most over here don't care though! ;) I guess if we have to hear anything from a kitty fan on egriz, it might as well be a kitty subject! :thumb:
Uh, you guys started this thread.... so... you do care?

Care is a bit of an exaggeration OP. I would say interested is more accurate. I personally would read any thread concerning a BSC teams spring scrimmage. Always good to know what an opponent is doing and if they have any new weapons. For instance - TR. Since you are a Cat fan, give us an update on his status and performance. He is a Montana kid and I do pull for natives of the state - even if they are not Griz.

He said "care," so I just reiterated it.
The only thing that comes to mind on Mr. Roderick is that he looks good at WR, but has been sitting some due to a sore knee. Only spring ball, no need to over do it! I'm curious how and where he will play, should be interesting nonetheless.

Again, 1665 views and you guys don't care? Remember, life will go on if the Cats and Griz are both good this year. It is ok to have a talented rival as well.

Eh, not a biggie, both teams should be formidable this year. I'm excited for a big Cat-Griz this year.

I don't know if this is a trash talk thread or an attempt at an honest assesment. Never-the-less, I looked at MSU's roster and saw the Cats have the returning Big Sky Conference Player of the Year at QB. My guess is, their offense will be just fine come late August.

Good point HGF. DM is one hell of an athlete, but truthfully I think their line continues to be a major concern. Good thing DM can scramble.

JJ better.......throws as well or better and quicker feet. DM a great one no doubt but I'll take JJ.

Someone posted JJ's stats vs DM's during the playoffs in 2011 and JJ's numbers looked way better. Not sayin DM sucks...

To say that DM sucks is really a sign that you don't know much about football. DM has proved himself in every way. His leadership skill are outstanding. His ability to make big plays out of nothing has won many games. JJ is really good but has not accomplished anything near what DM has so far.

Now lets look at the Cats the last 5 D1 games the same year (including playoffs): 395 yds per game total offense (203 passing, 192 rushing), and 29.4 points per game. Ouch.... If the Griz were just "average", then the Cats were way below average... That sucks for you

Lets compare QBs in that same period of time:

JJ:
Passing: 88 - 141 (62.4%), 1071yds, 14td, 3int 154.7 Efficiency Rating

Rushing: 39 for 256yds (6.56yds per carry), 2td

-

McGhee:
Passing: 80 - 138 (58%), 1015yds, 7td, 7int 126.3 Efficiency Rating

Rushing: 36 - 138yds (3.83yds per carry), 2td"

Just sayin.....

21-3 in BSC play and 2-0 in WaG. Just sayin....

I'm thinking about bumping last season's thread with a bunch of stats that prove without a shadow of a doubt that DM is the 9th best QB in the conference. That was BA at his finest.

DM's passing is actually just OK to good but his ability to escape and get the first down when needed is what beat the Griz last year. He is very difficult to contain due to his quick feet and keeping cool under pressure. He had better put it all together because the "Age of Denarius" is coming to a close. If he is to be remembered as truly special, this is the year to prove it.

Thats cool. I'll do the same from 2011. I remember a 36-10 beat down in BS with JJ at the helm. :thumb:

I actually agree with everything you just said. If DM can't get past the quarters again this year, then that will define his legacy.

Did any of you Griz fans consider the possibilty that it is ok if JJ and DeNarius are respected equally as talented quarterback who will both be missed when they graduate? I don't know a single Cat fan who has doubted the ability of JJ, both as an athlete and a leader. The guy is simply a stud and he'll have a fire under him this season, no doubt. But to doubt DeNarius in the same breath is moronic. The guy is a senior, hasn't advanced to the semi finals, and has a passion to win that is unparalled in the Big Sky outside of JJ himself. Let's give the due respect to both athletes.

I respect DM and yes I realize he is one heck of an athlete. I would imagine he'll do great things this season as long as the snaps are fixed (witch I believe they will be, its only spring ball). I see a great Griz/cat coming up in November.

Both are amazing athletes, but JJ might be the better passer. DM lasers his passes, even his deep throws. He needs to learn to put air under those sideline and post bombs.
