Carroll College Football Player Busted for Steroids

Interesting story coming out of Helena. It also involves what sounds like a former Bobcat football player. I had always heard that roids were quite prevalent at Carroll College. Seemed this kid had lots, perhaps with the intent to sell.

Made me wonder....is there any testing at that level for roids? How about at FCS level? One can't help but wonder if a bunch of Carroll football players are doing it... Who else?

So should be pretty easy to figure out the friend. Great falls high kid redshirting in 2013. Who was here?

Wonder what the story is about the UM student in on placing the order.

Mentions UM Student ... mutual friend of the former Great Falls athletes that played ball with them named Colter is enrolled at UM... not apart of the football program

Everyone knows the carroll boys love their juice. Probably doesn't belong in the montana Grizzlies forum though.

I would say steroids are pretty popular at all levels of football. Redshirt freshman get fed them.

Kinda odd how the MSU kid was suspended from the team but on the roster it says he lost his senior season due to injury. Hmmm...

Frankly I am surprised that an oral cycle of Dbol or Winstrol is the extent of it. I guess tested athletes have to go with the quick acting and clearing compounds. I believe steroid use was much more prevalent in the 80's and 90's. I think the Montana programs are much cleaner today as far as drug use than they have been in the past which is really great.

Lost his senior year of high school to injury. Think he retired this year due to same injury not responding. Not sure if this incident had anything to do with it. This is not isolated to Carroll. It is everywhere from pro's to college to high school, to the recreational weight lifter at the local gym. Internet has made it easier to get. There was some news in the past few years about it being epidemic in police forces because of the officers wanting to be safer on the streets if they got into scuffles.

I wouldn't be pointing to helena or bozeman, because three of those fingers would be pointing back to missoula. It is everywhere.

Yeah it is. Bummer for these kids. Doubt it'll get any better either. Like you said, anyone who wants it can get it. It's an epidemic for sure.
