This place sucks this week; way too depressing. I need a good boobcat/Ronny bashing thread to cheer me up. Which got me thinking: how/why do boobcats fans actually become boobcats fans? Seriously, they don't actually "choose" to be one, right? Somehow they have to get buffaloed or brain washed.

Come on, I can't even draw out some of the usual cat suspects? Seriously, I've never met a cat fan who chose to be such. Maybe its just my generation and the streak, but every cat fan I've met was either born into it (brainwashed) or really chose MSU because of academics and became a fan by default (buffaloed). So what say you, poorcats? Ihatethecats? Longtimedumbass? What's your genesis?
The reason I'm so curious is that if I were a kid growing up in MT these days and not getting brainwashed, there's no way I'd chose the cats. Not with that super-charged dbag as a coach. Basically, I'm curious if Cap'n Ron is worse for the cats than the streak?
Full disclosure: I was brainwashed to be a Griz before I could walk.

And to answer your question, I'm a 4th gen Montanan and 2nd gen Bobcat. My son has a bear and a cat(stuffed). The cat of course he calls Champ. The bear he calls loser. What a smart kid.

Doesn't bother me, Montana never does well during the first year under a new coach. Plus we've been taking a huge nosedive these last 3 years. Stitt took over a team that couldn't win the frontier conference this season (ok maybe a small exaggeration). I think we have great things ahead with Stitt, just gotta be patient this year.
