Can we please talk about recruiting on the main board too?

This is the first page I find when I log in to egriz forums. Recruiting Central at the top is much easier and clean to find information when all that is desired is recruiting news. General forum covers so many topics that specific topics can get buried rather quickly.

Okay, but why are two different places-forums necessary for Football and Recruiting? Isn’t recruiting an important part of Griz football?

New and current Griz recruiting info should be in the same place?

I’d support your idea, but your last paragraph is just dumb. If they are smart enough to GET to eGriz, and can find the main board, why in the world would they struggle to find the Recruiting forum? It’s a daunting ONE WHOLE CLICK away!!! Ermahgerd!!! It’s literally set up exactly like the main board, and in there EVERY thread is relevant (inlike the crap that ends up on the main board) and kept clean.

Well, if anyone is like me, I "can't find" the Recruiting subsection, and I've been posting for over 2 decades and have a billion post.

Certainly, you must jest. If you bookmark "Montana Grizzlies and the FCS", it opens to Forum, the first item is "Recruiting Central." The second is Griz Football News. Below Forum is Topics, which you refer to as the main board. You must have bookmarked "Topics" instead of "Montana Grizzlies and the FCS." Even so, hitting the "Montana Grizzlies and the FCS" at the bottom of any page takes you back to the page with "Recruiting Central" at the top. Try it; it could open up the world for you.

What’s a bookmark?

Are you unable to look at a thread title, like a recruiting title, and not click on it? What’s so hard about that?

Why do you feel the need to click out of the main football forum, then click-open the recruiting sub forum, and then click on a thread title? Why not just either click or not click on the recruiting thread in the main forum. Saves a step.

I prefer to open only one forum and see everything current and relevant on Griz football. Recruiting is very relevant to Griz football, obviously.

I don’t want to go to two forums every time I want to look at football topics on egriz. Want to click once and see all currently relevant topics.

Am fine for having a recruiting sub forum for non current topics and information.

I guess I am not a anal like some of you. I also am able to skip over a thread title and not click on it. I prefer convenience over “clean” and separate.

Actually, it could be more convenient. Current recruiting threads could, and should, be in the Griz Football Topics section, and not another click away. That is more convenient. No extra click. All UM threads can be seen in one skim through the page. All new topics are near the top.

To me, the main football section is the forum/page that opens, not another subform that has to be clicked separately.

Would it be "cleaner" for you if all non-Griz topics were moved to a different section, one click away? Like the Cat board. And all other FCS topics were in yet another subsection.

Good assumption. It's more important than most of the endless pissing matches and weak attempts at humor that dominate Topics threads. There is actually a wealth of news to be found in Recruiting Central without sifting through the BS described above. So refreshing that Recruiting is sufficiently important and interesting to be the first forum under "Montana Grizzly Football and the FCS." The main board and a strong part of Griz football. Could not be easier to find.

I beg to differ. I don't think people not familiar with the format of the board find it easily. Most of those types would assume recruiting is in the topics they first see when the football section is opened.

The point is not whether it can be found. The point is whether enough people look at it. I, for one, don't. Never think of it.

New recruiting topics should be on the main page, where they naturally belong. Chris loses a lot of clicks/view, and that costs him ad revenue money.

Most of my clients have been tech companies for the last 3 decades. I've learned a lot from them. Most of them are very good at knowing how to drive revenue.

-This was what most people wanted because it cleaned up both areas.
-Its not going to change just because you want it to.
-If you are not capable of clicking the recruiting link WHICH IS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE, you have some bigger issues
