Can we beat ND State?

Is our defense better than their option offense?

This year if the Griz actually have a defensive secondary, then yes our defense is better than their offense.

In fact several FCS schools have better defenses than their offense. The problem beating NDSU is their defense has been far better than everyone else's offense. They've been officially "scary good".
:ugeek:

Sure, they're beatable. But with that defense and a third year starter at quarterback in Brock Jensen, they're gonna be awfully tough. If their defense can bottle up Kansas State, nobody at our level stands much of a chance come playoff time.

The only team that can beat NDSU right now is themselves.

+1

But we don't play them right now. Lots can change between now and the playoffs -injuries being perhaps the biggest.

Unless its false rape claims.

One game at a time, one game at a time.

As Robert Zimmerman said, "Time will tell who has fell - and who's been left behind"

The stars may just be aligning.

We could very well see the #1 offense in the nation vs the #1 defense come January.

2012: with a 1st year head coach and 3rd string QB's
#11 in the nation total offense
#1 in the BigSky total offense

Red zone blues should be a thing of the past this season.
Montana could also end up with one of the top defenses in '13.
If our O is as good as I think it will be and our secondary is shored up I like our chances against the FBS team cloaked as an FCS team.

Thank god we get to play powerhouse App. in less than 2 weeks and find out.

Kstate game will tell a lot about their mettle. I think they finish with two season losses but still find a way to NC game...just a hunch.

I don't think we'll get that far up there this year. The OC's will probably slow it down a little, run less plays, and concentrate on the clock a little more. That should mean less total yards.

Doesn't mean we won't be potent as hell, though. :thumb:

My point remains: can we beat the #1 team in the country? I'm starting to think we might!

It is just my observation, but try beating a team with a winning record prior to crowning yourselves Champs.... :thumb:

Anything is possible but I think the edge still goes to NDSU. BSC championship is the focus now and NAU is the first step.

I am pretty sure we all have caught on by now that you are just here to make "observations," so I am here to observe and report that you probably do not need to open with that line every time you post. ;) Hopefully with all your observing skills you have taken notice that the Griz look good so far despite their competitions record. They already knocked off one top 25 team, (which I am sure any FCS team and fans would be proud of beating no matter what their record is or turns out to be) so I could care a less what records are at this point.

As if EWU fans did not crown the Eagles champs already after their impressive victory over the Beavers. The Griz are playing another top 25 team on the road this weekend and another team that beat them last year so hope you are ready to make more observations than just what their records are. But please do continue to fill us in on your observations, with or without letting us know they are indeed just your observations, since after all your name kind of gives it away that you are the observer, just my observation. :thumb:
