Yep. Definitely a "Changing of the guard". During their best years, they destroyed Montana in its worst years in 2010 and 2012 by five and nine points respectively!

Kudos to Krammer !!!

Country legend, the late, great George Jones had many nicknames, "Posssum," and my favorite, "No-Show Jones" when good ole George would go on a bender, the audience would be in the auditorium or arena waiting for him at his next concert, and George would either still be drinking in a honkey tonk, oblivious to the fact that he had a concert, or he would be passed out in a hotel, on his tour bus, in his Cadillac, etc. and miss the concert.

In Fargo, The Shi##y Kitties are "The No-Show Montana Cats," probably the most polite moniker they have earned with their last-minute cancellation two years ago. As one Bison fan in Fargo put it, " At least The GRIZ showed up !"

In 2-3 years, we will know how well the two respective recruiting classes have panned out. While The Shi##y Kitties may have the better class, I highly doubt it, which is not to say they don't have some rather exceptional athletes in this class, such as Ferriter.

And unless Coach Stitt falls on his face on the turf of WA-GRIZ this year and next, possible but highly unlikely, it is going to get worse for the puddy cats. We will have the Washington-Champions' Center to go along with the already new student-athlete academic center when added to the # 7 stadium in all of college football by or before kickoff in the fall of 2017, and don't look now, puddy cats, but in 2017, Coach Stitt and staff will be back at full strength--we will have our full 63 scholarships back as we get our 4 back just in time for the 2017 class !!!

19 of the Griz wins over that time frame were by double digits. None of the cats 5 wins were by more than 9 points. The cats fans are delusional as are their players. Stitt as coach, pounding Ass to the top 4 Montana recruits before his first game is unbelievable. Add in our Champions center, new locker rooms and the Griz will be dominant for decades to come. Bank on it!

Here's the point scores:

Over the past 28 years,
UM 920 points, MSU 416 points.
UM scored 221% more points than MSU.

Over the past 10 years,
UM 311 points, MSU 131 points.
UM scored 237% more points than MSU.

Over the past five years,
UM 135 points, MSU 54 points
UM scored 250% more points than MSU.

I think there is a perception over at Wombat Nation that the Kitties have been "catching up" in recent years. That is not true. The point totals show that the difference between the programs has become more extreme in recent years in terms of head-to-head competition between the two programs. On that metric, the program qualities are diverging, UM increasing its lead over MSU in a consistent fashion.

Isolating out the "Ash" years, over the recent eight year period,
UM 244 points, MSU 96 points.
UM has scored 254% more points than MSU under Rob Ash, a much worse record than MSU's overall 28 year history of "The Maul of the Wild."

Recruits, take note.

Wait. How can this be? The cats have a few engineering programs for god's sake and everyone knows the best college football players all want to be engineers. There's got to be something fishy going on. There's just got to be!

Oh stop being so dismissive towards MSU!

Go back and look at those scores, the cats did win two years in a row (once).
It is theoretically possible that could happen again sometime this century.

Lord only knows how a fucking train driving program could attract football recruits. I'm glad UM dropped their program. It's largely freight anymore. Nobody travels by train. It would be like majoring in stagecoach operation. Good luck with that, MSU commits.

Too, there were several defining moments over the past year, aside from the "Cat-astrophe" of the "Maul of the Wild." Mick Delaney got the Griz into post-season play and did a good job of it, and then retired (not fired) as a beloved coach, admired throughout the state. A new coach came on board with just the right touch of excitement and personality. Indeed, as opposed to Ash, he has one. The new facilities upgrades. In the immortal words of our US Vice President, "That's a big deal," although he added an adjective to that which I will not add here. That's not just an incremental step, its a "Cat-apult." Jordan Johnson's last year. Rarely does a community get as attached to a quarterback emotionally, for reasons only partially related to football skill, and under circumstances in which his loyalty to the University of Montana and to his team was far greater than the University's loyalty to him. They don't get much more first class than that. Zack Wagenmann's extraordinary sacks, Jamal Jones' circus catches. Kevin Berland's reward of a touchdown catch for years of loyalty. Finally, seeing a young man, Brock Coyle, who played last year in WG Stadium in his last year of college making the first two tackles of a Superbowl game this year, was simply a "movie moment" testamentary to Grizzly Football.

These last nine months couldn't have happened in real life.

Seven bobcat football fans were marching through the forest one day they fell in a deep, dark ravine. Bob Stitt, who was on the recruiting trail, peered over the edge of the steep chasm and called out to the fallen cat fans. From the depths of the dark hole a voice returned, "The bobcats are BSC contenders."
Stitt thought to himself, "Thank God... at least Dopey's survived!"

No we wont...7 out of the Cats class this year are transfers...haha You know...cuz that's how they've shifted the balance of power.

cat fans are bemoaning Griz use of the term "Montana All-Star Team" to describe this years in-state recruits. They are calling it "bulletin board" material. The truth is: the cats won't care about this because their coach doesn't care about this...it's just another game to him. They are mired in mediocrity over there. I feel bad for their recruits.

GrizNation and their Coaches are calling their Montana recruits the "Montana All-Star Team", and rightfully so because they are a talented bunch of kids. But if that isn't bulletin board material for our Montana recruits than I don't know what is.

They could play a video of Stitt banging Ashs wife and we'd still beat em by two touchdowns in Bozo

So slights posted on an anonymous fan forum now qualify as "bulletin board material"? It used to have to be someone who actually could affect the outcome of the game, as in player or coach. Well I have to admit that I farted the other day and I swear it sounded like "Bobcats suck". I now hate to think that I may have provided motivation to actually show up to the game next November... YIKES!
