Can Anyone Tell Me..................

This thread is truely pointless.

Alpha has nothing better to do than create jibberish threads on egriz while he runs around naked lathered in KY jelly with his cowboy boots on, lounging on his leather EZ-Chair watching fox tv, stroking it to Rush Limbaughs poster on his ceiling and posting on his circle jerk maroon whatever website.

And yes alpha I have hijacked your webcam and this on a hard drive! :o

In a serious note your multiple threads that got killed today, this thread and your other attack threads will not make others see your viewpoint. Many folks will never agree with what has happened. I know you want to lead the inquisition here but I would give it a rest. Your just looking stupid here.

As hard as it is for me to side with Alpha's thinking, I understand why he is questioning what he is, and sorry I missed whatever the mods removed.

O'day, and Pflu aside, too many incidents have been going on way too long. It was well past time, for someone of power, and influence, finally make a statement somehow. "Enough is Enough!"

Granted, I wish the statement was made in a different way than it was, and not effect the people it did, in the way it did. I for one, am happy and relieved, the GRIZ are traveling a new road, just wish O'day, and Pflu, were traveling the new road too.

It would be easier to overlook some of this, if the incidents were few, and far between. However, that has not not been the case, with the GRIZ program for way too long. I know there is not a perfect program, or every athlete is perfect, but it is getting bad when different players, every year are making dumb decisions, and having legal troubles. Something is definitely wrong when things go down like they have over the years with the GRIZ program.

The statement has been made as loud as it can possibly be made. It is up to whoever our new leadership is, and every player to commit to a new age of GRIZ Football, one that we can be proud of on, and off the field. Like it, or not, it got too dirty, and had to be cleaned up.

God forbid these things continuing on, since the statement, IF they do, the next step(s) could be a lot more harsh. I hope it does not happen, and never gets to that point, but if it does, I will understand more harsh, and louder statements made by the powers to be.

It is amazing how some fans shoot the messenger, in this case, Alpha, when someone brings up anything that is not within the popular maroon colored glasses wearing majority. At least the likes of Alpha, keep us on our toes, and allow for us to consider another side of thinking, and the stories. Agree with it, or not, I appreciate it.

Alpha, you just got absolutely owned - no I'll say you got owned bitch! And all you can do is bitch about this and that. Why can't you just admit that Brint did the research and discovered your point was, and is, smashed beyond recognition.

I shall eagerly await your childish and fruitless reply now with baited breath... Wait, change that, I shall wait your tepid response with Merlot breath.....

I do know one Florida school's band members killed a kid during a hazing incident......

Not to mention the crimes that have not been discovered. If they get caught this often then how many times did they get away with crimes?

Are you guys sitting on each other's laps posting from the same laptop today?

(there goes charleton --->)

What about the Bobcats that had a bunch of players arrested for drugs a few years back that resulted in a certain Coach Kramer getting fired?

The number of arrests in not the issue as much as how the coaches and AD handles these issues. Most coaches suspend or remove players IMMEDIATELY after they are arrested. At UM, our coaches want to "wait until the facts come out", blame the police or local media for having a hard-on for Griz football players, or state that they will "handle it internally". Some of you will never freakin' get it!
How dare someone actually give someone their due process of justice. You must be in the wrong country buddy because in the US we are actually not guilty until the court of law deems so, not when GrowlerNone thinks otherwise.

Bigtyme, you are so right on. Do you think G1 can name any player who was not suspended from practice and/or all or part of game, following an arrest? G1 and some others think that only a publicly announced suspension is a suspension.

JJ-wasn't even arrested or charged, but missed a week of practice

Maus - suspended indefinitely

Donaldson-immediately off team

Kemp/Johnson - sat one quarter, with possible other discipline to come later when facts better sorted out and charges resolved

Middleton - one game

Montana - one game.

Wilson - missed a week or more of practice and one game

Stuberg - 2? games

Johnson/Swink (not charged with anything)- one game

3 frosh in a fight - dismissed from team and school

burglarly - dismissed from team

Homec - dismissed from team

Big o-tackle who tested positive for weed - either dismissed or encouraged to leave

Quinn dui - one game

other dui's - at least one game suspension

Freeman - dismissed from team

Wilson - murder charge - off team

Disorderly conduct citation for player several years ago (from party) - one game

Smith - dismissed from team

frosh with Cat who got caught with drugs - dismissed from team

To my knowledge, no player ever charged with a felony ever played another down for UM, except Wilson who was acquitted. Of the players who played again, I don't recall any of them who ever ended up with more than disorderly conduct, reckless driving or a dui.

Note that this list goes back about 8 years.

Plus, for many of these incidents, there was significant other discipline. Demotion to lower team. Running the M at 5:30. Extra running/drills after practice.

BWahlberg can probably fill in some blanks.

Oh, is that right? Tell that to the lynch mob who has already convicted Zimmerman in the press for murdering Trayvon, with a bounty placed on his head. Is that "American due process in action"?

So, both the Hawaii and Michigan State head coaches were wrong for suspending their two star players before they were proven guilty? you and your buddy Play=a Rape are part of the problem at UM, and should be fired as fans, along with the coach and AD.

Alpha was a Pflu supporter from the beginning. AG is trying to deflect the attention to Coach Hauck now that Pflu has not had his contract renewed. Pflu lost his contract most likely for lack of leadership and team discipline. The fact is the off field issues increased exponentially under Pflu. Pflu was really in a fog when he defended JJ whether JJ is guilty or not. AG now would be a good time to admit you were wrong about Pflu.

Then there was this SI article http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/the_bonus/02/27/cfb.crime/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Which shows for what I believe is JUST 2010:

Pitt: 22
Iowa: 18
Arkansas: 18
Boise St: 16
Penn St: 16
Va Tech: 13
Wisconsin: 9
Okalhoma: 9
FSU: 9
Miami: 8
OSU: 7
UF: 7
Oregon: 7
USC: 7

and so on. there's more.

actually that report was of players with a police record, which implies that it goes back to their jr. high and high school years. it was compiled in 2010, but wasn't just for that year. hard to say how many of those we have in a given year.

The number of players on each team in the study who were found to have police records

i would have to say ag1 is onto something here.
