Well, that’s his stat line against Cal Poly from last week. A Cal Poly team that is supposed to be in the bottom 3 in the conference. Like I said, this game is an opportunity to shut the talk down.

We’ve scored 40 without him coming anywhere near that. Then again, he hasn’t had to play the 4th quarter in either of the last two games….so the only way he gets near those numbers is if he has to play four full quarters. There was lots of chatter on here preseason about him just needing to be a game manager….he’s done that in spades. 8-0 is pretty good management, IMHO.

It is possible, we may have one of the best QBs ever to play at Montana right now.

:lol: :lol: Yeah, plenty of Griz qbs would be put before cam. It’s not to say he is a bad player and doesn’t bring Value to your team. Let’s just say he will never be in the same categories of ah yat and Dickenson. Not even close.

He has 8 games under his belt, a very small sample size, but all wins. A lot can change before the season ends and the sample size can more than double. I expect him to move up the list if he stays healthy. He could even lead his team to a NC, which Ah Yat, Drew Miller and Dalton Sneed never did.

There is way too much energy devoted to this; when a team is constructed to excel at defense and special teams, it does not need the Payton Award Winner at QB. That's a great position in which to be.

This is a good opportunity for him to really silence some haters. I’ve said it myself, I just don’t feel like he’s a great quarterback. If he shows out here, there’s going to be a shortage of crow going around as a lot of people will be eating it. 30/35 400 yards 5 touchdowns and no picks would really shut the talk down.

Defense scores a touchdown. Punt block for a touchdown. Kick Return for a touchdown. Sit the 4th quarter. How the hell is he going to have enough possessions to run up crazy stats. He did have 5 TD passes in week 2. Against UW he played so smart and just tough and resilient. Look at that 2nd half and that should answer any questions you have about him playing under pressure. I love that the Griz have a QB that understands the game well enough to put his ego to the side and lead.

But leading your team to a National Championship game is an accomplishment in itself!!! In my opinion!

Something that caught me by surprise a little bit as I was cruising through Twitter

“Quarterback Cam Humphrey has won all eight of his UM starts since 2019, with a 158.04 passer rating and 17 TD passes.”

I think he will continue that streak Saturday! Let’s goooooo!

Do you look at this like a baseball game? Technically he was losing when he was pulled against Idaho in 2019 after the first quarter after throwing two ints. Or is that game a no decision because he only made it one quarter and wasn't the qb for at least half the game?

“I hear a lot of negative about that term ‘game manager.’ I don’t see anything wrong with it,” Humphrey said. “As a quarterback, I play the position like a point guard. I’m trying to get the ball to my athletes. There’s a reason why I’m not at running back or receiver.
