“Recreational” pot is legal in Cali, right? These guys must have been smokin’ some really “good s**t” to be that delusional.AllWeatherFan said:... so we had to rely on the announcers to tell us was happening and why Cal Poly was so much better than the score indicated.
But if, like us, you had no audio at the time (it came and went), you were definitely left guessing. We tried listening to the radio, but it was several plays ahead of the TV, which made everything hard to follow.AllWeatherFan said:ddmann said:Sounds to me like I was lucky I could not get the audio feed. Some of the camera angles featured the part of the field where there were NO players, so we had to rely on the announcers to tell us was happening and why Cal Poly was so much better than the score indicated.

This is a team that won one game last year and their only win so far this year was against mighty Brown, which hasn’t had a winning season in like five or six years. In five games, their defense has given up over 200 points. And in the four games other than against Brown (where they scored 44), their wonderful triple-option offense has scored all of 65 points.

The announcers, however, are no worse than many "homers" I listen to. Totally seeing things slanted to Cal Poly as much as they could but certainly better than the grad students at Western Illinois.

After the Western Ill game (which was by far THE worst game by any cameraman in the history of sports) I was admiring the job by the Cal-Poly crew. I only recall 1 play where they couldn't follow the action, whereas the WIU crew seemed to be operating a camera for the first time in their lives.

#bsc.

And compared to NAU's announcers, ours are pretty bad also.

Were you watching on DirecTV by chance? Because all of us watching online only got a wide angle shot from one fixed camera for about half of the second quarter. It was bad enough when the action was on the end of the field we could actually see, but infuriating when the action moved to the other end of the field and completely out of view.
