The dude has failed at every step, including 15 years ago when he got beat deep for a TD in the Moodry Middle School jamboree, and now he obviously failed at SuckSt. Look at the defensive stats while at UNLV—those prove everything, because reasons. Certainly Bobby could have done better with this pick. I’m sure there is a laundry list as long as my arm of more capable CB coaches lining up to take this legendary position. And don’t tell me the pay isn’t good enough to attract high-level talent with no connection to MT. Missoula is a top destination for CB coaches; we should be able to land Deion.

I wonder if Vernon was hoping to be considered or if he was and turned it down. I’m sure Bobby likes CJ for his recruiting abilities and knowledge of what Twitter is since most of our other D coaches are probably too old to know their way around the Twitter sphere.

Just ment that it wasn’t intended as a back handed comment towards your disapproval of Baer, partly due to his age since you were probably the most outspoken poster against him. Meant strictly as a joke about how old that side of the staff is. :thumb:

P.s.: I couldn’t care less what Baer’s age is....I don’t think that has any bearing on his ability to coach. Other than the fact that the game appears (based on his past 7-8 years of performance) to have passed his philosophies by...
