Butte's Dallas Cook offered by UM and MSU

I've only seen him play once and that was in The Shrine Bowl a few months ago and I thought he played outstanding!! Hopefully he goes to UM. This kid could really boost the Griz into more wins. For a young kid he seems to really know the game and utilizes it. I like him.

I must have missed him in "The Shrine Bowl"...

I don't remember what Q2 said it was. I don't keep track of bowl games on any level. I do remember seeing his interview and watching him play is all I'm sayin.

You said he played outstanding in a game that he didn't play in.

Oh. I thought he played in that game. Maybe it was just an interview and some stats.... My mistake.

Just watched some of his video. He is a FBS level QB prospect without question. Good mechanics for a HS player. His throwing motion doesn't have a lot flaw in it, very smooth and natural. I was expecting a slow release, but his release is fairly quick for a big HS QB. Showed good accuracy with nice tight spiral and zip on the ball in the video. Also shows good poise in the pocket (though benefits from having a good OL). He has a lot of video up on his hudl site and I didn't see very many jump balls. I did see a lot of strikes to receivers and hitting them in stride. Didn't see many throws down field, so don't know how accurate he would be beyond 30 yards. Probably the best QB prospect in the state since Osweiler.

Will Weyer has a terriffic arm too. But, he is a pure pocket passer and has trouble with footwork . He is in the mold of Hann and Gustafson. If your system is designed around a QB with good mobility he really doesn't fit. Haven't seen Dallas but I have heard from some good sources that he is the real deal.

I am not sure why Alpha G is allowed to post on this board. Regarding Dallas Cook, his highlights from each game last year including the title game, are available on the web. Search "dallas cook highlights". Very impressive. I saw him at the shrine game last month and he is huge. A person familiar with him said that he now weighs 235. He looks to be about 6'4".

Well your 69 posts have added so much to the discussion

Since you are such a pussy and cant handle a differing opinion I will play your game and make you feel all warm and gooey inside. (Not the way Screaming Eagle makes you feel warm and gooey)

If I had to pick between Cook and Leaf I would take Cook.

There I said something positive dont orgasm too hard and make sure to mop up so you dont slip and hit submit on your keyboard when you have something stupid typed again.

Cook throws jump balls, you are the one that is drunk if you think he has touch, he is one of the most frivolous QBs I have seen in years. Like I said earlier he has size and thats it, who cares if he has a Jamarcus Russell arm hes not that accurate.

The absolutely perfect 96 yard long bomb touchdown strike that he threw in the state championship was the prettiest pass I have ever seen. Complete touch, and couldn't have shown more touch. He hit Dalton Daum in absolute perfection, Daum didn't change his stride 1 inch. Damn I could watch that pass over and over...and over...

Perhaps you should sit in the ice bath with Geddes?

Let's just get the kid an "offer" outside of The BSC before we "pop off" ok?

I though one of the first posts in this thread said he was holding a Washington State offer. Yes, it's only the Cougars, but it IS technically Pac-12 football, is it not? 8-)

Cook is a tremendous quarterback, it should be noted he loses some darn good linemen who were three year starters and some excellent skill players. He should have a great year, interesting to see how the bulldogs re-load at the other positions.
