Right now, the Big Sky has 4 teams in the top 150
67- Weber State
120- Montana
142- Northern Arizona
143- Sacramento State
then it just goes down hill from there
277- Eastern Wash
286- Portland State
288- Northern Colorado
295- North Dakota
303- Idaho State
319- Montana State
341- Southern Utah
Wildcat,
Wonder how it would work out for the Wildcats or Griz .....if they were to move to either the Big West, or the West Coast Conference for Olympic sports, and then go Indepedent for FCS Football ??....I know the Griz would have to spend more money in payouts to get opposing FCS teams into Wa. griz, but we would be moving up significantly in rating, and competion for Basketball if we did...If the Griz went indy in football, attendance would still be good??...AND Naysayers....Ask yourself...do we pack 24k for a conf game??...yes...Have the griz packed the place in with DII competition in pre-conf???....yes...Hmmm..ok
Sorry, The Big Sky is a far cry from the competion that it used to have .....

UM needs to find some peers in another Conference for B-Ball.....If they want to compete with the same level of competition that was ONCE THE BIG SKY
Problem lies here...As I understand it , the best conference of the two for basketball...the Wcc, is mainly made up of private religious schools, and therefore many point out that it would not be a good fit for the U of M. The Big West conference has a bit higher rating than the Big Sky in B-ball,and maybe that's where they should be. The U of M holds a lot of leverage in the Big Sky......Might they someday use it :?: :!:

Oh That's right...I forgot about...MSU,Waded Cruzado, and the Board of Regents......Ain't gonna Happen...Carry on as usual...
