Heard about Britt over the weekend along with another potential transfer that, if true, would be very disappointing. Also heard changes are happening with a couple coaches. Could be just the rumor mill but 1/4th is true so far.

That's too bad. I was hoping he'd at least give it until Spring ball to see where everything shakes out. I think he would've had a shot at the job next year, but we'll never know now! Bet of luck to the kid!

I was hoping for the same, but I believe with this coaching staff, there is ZERO chance for any current QB on the roster to have a shot at the starting job if they are bringing in a transfer, which sounds like a certainty.

I heard Bobby was given a directive from Haslem to make staff changes. It seems Hauck isn't in control like all you Bobby lovers thought.

This is disappointing and annoying, but not unexpected. I would've like to have seen what he could do as a Week 1 starter rather than as Plan 'C'.
And unless other QBs are also departing, this leaves us with just 3 on the current roster: Brown, Abbot, and Huot. We also have 2 QBs with verbals (Ah Yat and Sliter), but I thought someone reported that Sliter was recruited to play another position.

I keep hearing his name come up, and that would suck, but I wouldn't blame him one bit.

He is arguably the most dynamic playmaker on our offense, and he had 31 touches all season (17 catches and 14 carries). That's absurd. It's a fraction of what he had last year as a true freshman (21 catches, 118 carries), and this was a season we were desperate (at times) to get something going on offense. It's absolutely mind-boggling and inexcusable how little he was utilized.

Well, you move from RB to WR, I would assume your carries would decrease.

Well of course, but even his receptions went down after he moved to WR. My point was that he has proven he can handle a heavy workload and we hardly used him at all. He should be getting the ball on offense 10+ times per game.

I'm holding out hope that the mystery HS recruit who is waiting until after the holidays to announce is a QB who faced great competition in HS.
