Britt in the portal

I will also say this we are the minor leagues now for FBS programs. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that a mountain west school has already told Britt if he goes into the portal he’s got a full scholarship with them. It would not surprise me to see him end up at a Nevada or Colorado state or something like that.

I agree with you Hooked. I don't think any FCS school is immune from having players entering the portal. I would say maybe 8 to 10 players leaving a school will not be unusual. Some will move down and some up.

Based on what? He was inconsistent with his zone read. Kept it more often when the d end was keying him. His progressions were a bit slow. His deep ball was not very accurate. He was on the short side even for fcs level. He could have developed into a good quarterback, and I would rather have had him over Brown after Johnson got injured, but the reps I saw would not warrant a full FBS offer at any level. I am thinking FCS, DII, or walk on FBS.

Toure, Sulser, Boomshimi, Knight, Britt, and if the rumors are true a few more starters leaving because they are not “Bobby’s Boys”

Hmm.
Toure had nothing to do with Bobby. Nobody in their right mind blames him for leaving and it paid off.
Boomshimi - same, don’t know if it will pay off.
Sulser - great kid. Injury prone, had to compete and wanted a change. Bobby didn’t run him off.
Knight - another great kid, injury and wasn’t the same. Had to compete and was ready for a change. If anything, Knight’s case demonstrates that Bobby plays the best player.
Britt - saw the writing on the wall. Had to compete.
Helena said it best. COMPETE!!
5 kids transferring from a program is your mountain of evidence that Bobby ran them off because they weren’t “his boys.” I have a feeling you are the kind of person that has a giant Q lit up in your front yard. Keep trying and trolling.

I'm holding out hope that the mystery HS recruit who is waiting until after the holidays to announce is a QB who faced great competition in HS.

you mean like Daniel Britt, who they chased off

...I think this could get interesting because Britt was well liked by his teammates...
will it affect others in their decision making?

Tours graduated from UM, nobody chased him away.

Would any FBS school want Britt if they watched his NDSU performance?

I just counted 117 quarterbacks that have entered the portal. This isn't a just a Montana problem, Like it or not this is college football now.

...great question but he was thrown to the wolves when this team was already defeated..I
think he will make a great QB ....hopefully a coaching staff that knows talent will grab him
...Plugrad used to say " get great athletes and coach them up "..something this coaching
staff is struggling to do...

Hell, yes. Other schools know how disfunctional the Griz coaching staff is. They can watch film too and see a complete lack of fundamentals and discipline.

I doubt any fbs school wants Britt. He didn't show much of anything other than he's got good legs. I see him going to an fcs program.

What's up with qbs being scared of competition. Abbott will probably be a better player imo. He stands out a lot more.

It is just pure speculation on your part that he is leaving because he would have to compete for the starting job next year… That's a given in any college football program so I highly doubt that is the reason… More likely that he wouldn't be given a fair shot in that competition or was told to go because the coaching staff knew he didn't have a chance (a.k.a. they were going to give him a fair chance) at the starting position going forward

And without proper preparation all season long
