This is so annoying. The GameDay thing gets brought up every year. This will NEVER happen. So many delusional Griz fans, its ridiculous. ESPN is a business.....what type of revenue/ratings would they generate doing a 1-AA/FCS game? They would probably lose money and have advertisers back out for doing something so stupid.
Wake up Griz Nation.....I'm a Griz fan like most on here, but there are times when its embarrassing to be a part of this fan base. This is one of them.
DON'T be Mr. NEGATIVE....If you can't support the Griz then just be quiet. As some point ESPN has to realize that there is GOOD QUALITY Football at the FCS level and MONTANA is one of the TOP PROGRAMS. :x :x
First, thanks for resorting to name calling.
Second, I believe ESPN does realize there is quality football at FCS level, which is way they occasionally broadcast our games on ESPN3 or gameplan or maybe ESPN2 for a semifinal game. That still doesn't change the fact that if it is a choice between Gameday coming to Missoula for a Griz game or to Texas/Oklahoma the money game is going to win out everytime. ESPN usually has at least 1 person in the broadcast booth that knows a little about FCS football as well. Every time a FCS program gets mentioned on Gameday, Corso mistakenly refers to it as Division II. But hey sorry you thought I was a dick. If the write in campaign on FB gets ESPN to send Gameday to Missoula I'll buy you all you can drink at Reds.
More productive ways to support the Griz: Attend every game, scream until my voice is hoarse, pay my always rising season ticket prices, spend $40 at the stadium in food and drinks for me and my family, buy and wear shirts, hats, coats, gloves, sweatshirts with Griz logos...and on and on. Try to convince my snobbish East Coast and Southern friends that FCS football is pretty good and the Griz are one of the best at playing on our level.
