Brian Buschini

New York Giants mini camp announced yesterday, he is probably a long shot to make the team as they recently inked the Scottish Hammer to a 3 years extension.

In the 2025 NFL draft, one punter was drafted. So as you can see there are a lot of punters looking for a team and not many openings. Not sure if he got NIL money but if he did it should have been more that the Griz would have given. Would he have gotten a mini camp invite from being a Griz? Hard to say.

As evidence in this year's draft pro days in Montana are worthless. So then he made the correct choice,
Show the evidence. I see a montana player that did enough at his pro day to get drafted. It definitely helped open the eyes of an alum that said “Hey coach, we need to get this guy.” And from knowing how shaky the NFL coaching position is, I’m sure the coach said “Ya, you’re right. I mean, look at those pro day numbers, how could we miss.”

Did Buschini get his invite from the Huskers pro day?
He must’ve, his punting numbers sounded relatively impressive.

“ProStar Sports Agency put out some of the details from his performance. According to its numbers, Buschini averaged 45.6 yards per punt while turning over 13 of 16 kicks. His average hang time was 4.92 seconds with seven punts beyond 50 yards and two with a hang time of greater than 5.3 seconds.”

ProStar Sports Agency has nothing to do with pro days. Possibly his agent he used to get recruited.

He was pretty inconsistent at Nebraska. A pro day with perfect conditions doesnt translate always to in the game.

I seem to remember Dan Carpenter mailed a mannequin leg to the Miami Dolphins with some cheesy note. And they ended up signing him to a rookie contract. Or is that my barzheimer's talking?

Well he did finish as Nebraskas #5 punter all time and was on track to beat the single season record til the last couple weeks.
He has a strong leg with a lot of good punts but the bad ones were awful outkicking the coverage or a total shank and it is the floor rather than the ceiling NFL teams are concerned about with punters.
