Thing about punters and kickers are their careers can last a lot longer. They don't get beat up like position players. So you only have 32 spots and those spots are even tougher to break into because guys last longer.

Long snappers even more so than kickers and punters. For Stitt’s current team Mines their qb from 2023 was one of the best players in D2 and he only got one chance a mini camp invite. Whereas their long snapper might take 2-3 years before breaking into the league.

Hard for me to pull for the kid after the way he exited UM. Like my grandma used to say, we all make decisions.
I think Buschini not even getting a mini camp invite is kinda funny, poetic justice. " I'm just too important to stay @ UM, so I am going to go play for a crappy Big 10 team !!! " Worked for Toure', not so much apparently for Buschini.

Good luck to Brian, and forgive my bad case of sour grapes 🍇 !!!

But as the late, great country singer George "No-Show" Jones, an old Marine, sang in one of his last hit songs , " Choices, " "Living and dying with the choices I made !"

I feel the same way.

I am not sure that trashing a previous team on the way out the door was a great look for NFL teams, either. Locker room guys and "good soldiers" are more attractive to have around when you are a building a team worth hundreds of millions of dollars every year. NFL teams are, by nature, risk averse. Don't give them a reason not to draft you.
