Brady G

I hear, most likely to be returning after the UND game. In the meantime, the WR's are stoked to have Simis throwing them the ball. The main reason Chalich was playing over Simis was experience, not skill. Regardless of how Simis does, it will be great to have Gustafson back.

I'd like to see more of Simis, from what I saw he was a cut above Chalich. Brady still had the most composure in the pocket and ran the offense best.

Yes and when he needs to run---it----will----be-----a------- sight-----to ----behold.

Best running QB we have, quickest feet for sure. Keep in mind he was supposed to be "the next JJ" when recruited. Excited to see what 2 weeks of prep and a home game will do for Makena.

I believe he was referencing Gus. Hence the exaggerated writing

We got a glimpse of his running ability last weekend. He has some wheels!

Still i defer to the coaches on judgment and clearly they thought Brady G was the guy at the beginning of the year and gives us the best chance to win so hopefully Simis can fill in for just one game and we can get Brady back for the rest of the year.

Chalich was okay, but many of his passes looked like something one of the Niekro brothers might throw.

When Brady returns, it would be nice to have Makena in there now and then for his dual threat capability - like on those 3rd/4th and short situations.

Didn't get to see him run on those 3rd and 4th downs.....busy making incomplete passes. And not the best run in OT now was it? Not bashing Simis but a little defense for our #1 who's injured.

And how can no UM student who's in class with Brady G. not come on here and tell us what his injury is?

I'm no doctor but he had a fracture in his shin bone. As was mentioned above he should be back after the UND game.

See I'm no doctor. I was positive I was told it was a small fracture on his shin bone. Doctors told him to start using a walking boot and no crutches this week.
