Bracketology

If either the Griz or Weber make the tourney, worst case scenerio is a 14 seed, best case is a 12 seed.

This guy has UM as a #15 seed playing Duke:

well we wont be playing duke, but i would rather face them than Mizzo or some of the other teams in the top 8..esp after seeing them the other night. Right now they are a good team but the name on the front of their jearsey is really helping their cause

The win over LBSU was huge, but unfortunately, Long Beach got beat today which dealt them a pretty heavy blow. Let's hope they win their tournament so they stay in the top 50. If they do, that's a pretty serious feather in UM's cap.
Long Beach made the headlines when they went to Pitt and up set them. In looking at the seasons of both, the hype is over rated. UM knocked off LB, but so have others..not such a great win at home, after all...sad to say...the UM loss to Oregon State, San Fran, North Dakota have hurt...and that is why UM will be lucky to get above a 15 seed, PROVIDED THEY BEAT EWU AND WEBER....

I'll take the under, Alex. 8-) 8-) 8-)

For $500.

I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to future tripping, but for now, I'm trying focus my fan energy on tomorrow night vs. EWU. Yes, I've done plenty of bracket scouring across the web and have stewed over about every possibility...in the end, however, there's not a darn thing I can do about it other than root hard for the Griz Tuesday and Wednesday (shoot, I'd love to be at Dahlberg) and let the chips fall where they may.

haha i see what your saying but for some reason i cant help but try and figure and speculate where we may be haha...and i know all it is is pure speculation but, i guess i cant help it....but i know tomorrow ill be in the top of section 203 standing all game, pounding of the roof of dahlberg going nuts.

Before we talk about seedings, the Griz need to win the Big Sky. Lunardi's damn good at what he does, and is the best prognosticator of the Brackets. We beat San Fran, CSU, UND, and Nevada, then maybe we could hope for a 12 or 13 (those were all winnable games); but we didn't. There are so many variables that go into seeding these teams that none of us even have a clue about. Other than the Griz and Wildcats, it's a pretty mediocre conference. Coach Tinkle and the boys just want to get into the big dance. I'd say, that if we win the tournament, there's a chance could pass a Valparaiso or Akron for a 14 seed, but that's about it.
But what the hell do i know!? :?

we were a 12 seed 6 years ago and we had the same record wtf

That team beat Stanford and Santa Clara! They won the non-conference games they should win.

This team beat Long Beach State, and really cleaned up in a weak conference.

Beat Hawaii too, but otherwise they'd of ended up lower in RPI.

Same record, but probably a higher RPI.

Rocky, I agree. Hindsight, it would be interesting to see where the Griz would be sitting if they would have pulled off a couple of those winnable out-of-conference games.

Probably Weber State coach

Likely Rahe, but it could have been Mark Fox or Don Verlin as well.
Why would Mark Fox vote for UM?

Because after the beat-down UM put on his Wolfpack in the first round a few years back, he understands the quality of the BB program here.

Ahh, just curious why he'd care being down in Georgia and all.

I have been watching VCU and Drexel. These teams play defense very similar to the GRIZ as for as making everything difficult for the offenses. VCU is not too far removed from their magical season, and still have the same coach. I like this kind of style has a good track record in the tournament. Here is to praying the GRIZ take of business in the conference tournament this week. :thumb:
