They always like to jump the gun prematurely. Just like last year when they took home the trophy for the pre-season conference championship.

Montana State has been trying to label themselves as 'Montana's team' for years.

Problem is their program hasn't been shiny since the 80s. Bobcats are hoping with the hiring of Jeff Chaote and getting more 'Montana coaches' on their staff, they can get closer to that goal of being labeled 'Montana's team.' The bobcat attitude is terrible - my partner's family are bobcat fans. I have to listen to the poo every major holiday. The bobcat presumptuous attitude continues, beat that cat ass Grizzlies.

I had a buddy that went to Western and that is what's known as the "Dillon Shocker." Girls are just a little wider in Dillon hence the improvisation.

It's the livestock down in Dillon....they get a little lonely down there! :lol:

UM's outreach and marketing efforts have been subpar and an embarrassment for at least a half decade now, and based on what I hear from the parents of current high school seniors, it has not improved any. This is one of the factors in UM's ever decreasing enrollment and budgetary issues. Too bad prez engstrom is asleep at the wheel and clueless of the problem.

That said, the bobcat poster is hilarious. Epic fail kitties.

For real...if I was an 18 year old and I saw some straightbilled asian dude dancing like a doucher on the side of a mountain...I would say to myself...def dont wanna go there..haha

Luckily I went before that video came out, but they also continue to air videos from before i was in school...

I mean come on people...ITS NOT THAT FUCKING HARD TO MAKE MISSOULA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA LOOK COOL..... its really not

The bigger problem is that they aren't Montana - by definition. And they will never be Montana no matter how many Ms they put on their helmets. This campaign makes them look even more pathetic.

While I agree that commercial is ridiculous, I don't remember a single commercial before I enrolled at UM. Even if the current commercial played when I was deciding, I don't think a TV commercial would have changed my mind. Until recently, I had always thought those commercials were just fillers during a FB game. I had no idea people actually made very serious decisions based on 30 second ads.

Seriously. I chose my college because it was the closest college to where my future (and now ex) wife was attending school and that I could get accepted to.

I'm now hearing some rumblings that we've been had. The "Beat the Sky" picture might have been an amateur hour thing trying to troll Griz fans. If true, I guess it makes sense. What athletic department would put out such a horrible looking picture with a nonsensical phrase such as, "A new era begins as the Bobcat traditions continue."? The only Bobcat tradition is full collapse. I don't think the Bobcat Athletic Department is dumb enough to be behind this, but who knows?
