Bobby's Press Release

Bobby's a great guy. I had some beers with Tim, his mom and his sister tonight. They were entertaining parents. I met the dad's of White and Childs tonight. Cool guys. Former great athletes.

So you are having beers with one of the coaches the night before a game? Interesting.

In 2013 we stopped at a little liquor store in Grand Forks, ND to pick up some booze to tailgate with for the Griz game at the Alerus center. As I am standing there in my UND Fighting Sioux shirt, and my wife in her Griz clothes in walks UND head coach Mussman.

UND just had a bad year, and the Coach was in the hot seat, in fact, he was fired at the end of the season, and Bubba became the coach.

I said to Coach Mussman, after last year it isn’t a good look for a coach to be grabbing booze right before heading to the game and if the wrong person sees you it will be in the papers. He smiled and didn’t say a word.

I would think Tim Hauck would have better things to do the night before a game than to have beers with someone that isn’t part of the coaching staff.

He and some of his family were going out to dinner with a group of out of state parents and were meeting at a gathering spot. My wife and her family and I have been family friends for 60 years. Great family. So you don’t think athletic directors should buy liquor the night before games? That’s pretty funny.

UM needs Hauck a lot more than Hauck needs UM.

You are joking right? I have read some really ridiculous statements on here but this might be the most outlandish one I have read yet. That theory implies that Bobby is bigger than UM, which is simply not true. In fact, this theory is the reason we are an average BSC football team, whether you admit it or not. And we will continue to be average until changes are made.

I will eat crow if the Griz can get through Sac St, Idaho, and MSU, be a top 8 seed in the playoffs and play till the Quarterfinals at minimum. But I don’t see it happening.

This guy is on fire lately with dumb comments. Bobby will retire and 100 years from now UM will still be here… and probably better off.

I said “needs” not “bigger”. Bobby doesn’t need UM at all.

Nos. 6, 6 and 14 is not “average”.

What does 100 years from now have to do with athletic fundraising right now? Do you think donations increased, and QB club membership and related donations are at record levels, just magically on there? How many big and important UM athletic boosters do you know and have talked to?

Are those levels maintainable if we continue to lose or underperform? I’m assuming boosters put up more money with Bobby back because they expect him to win and win big and not because of him personally.

Many time in my career I have seen a Sales team freak out when the top performers leave. They feel the walls are collapsing. What ends up happening is you found the person who left is a cancer, and the sales team performs better.

Stop. Just stop. I am sick and tired of reading your common sense take on the state of the Griz program. Nobody on here wants to hear rational criticism that is warranted. Please start posting sycophant love stories to an underperforming and an over the hill coaching staff. Don’t talk about recruits who have been absolutely unimpressed with the treatment they received on visits. Enough that they are choosing other BSC teams who recruited them. Don’t talk about an O line that is the reverse of DOLA. Undersized defensive linemen. A team that can’t stop the run, nor can they run the ball. The receivers running the wrong routes when they are juniors. Poor play calling. Terrible press conferences and an image that is a turnoff for fans and recruits. A program that cannot develop a QB and treat the position like it is the flavor of the month. Do talk about how important you are. All the coaches you know. How great it is to have a program that is middle of the pack BSC at best. A team that can’t get to a semi final game to save their life. A staff who can’t sniff a BSC championship. Instead post drivel about bad fans and love stories to a coaching staff that simply has disdain for you, but you are too ignorant to figure it out. I feel bad for the kids in the program. They deserve better. Much better and posters like you who point out coaching and program deficiencies simply will not do. Be gone, be silent and embrace the turd in the punch bowl. Nobody wants to talk about it!!

Griz are better at multiple position groups. For example, o-line, running back, receiver, linebacker, safety, probably corner. Maybe more.

(CRB): Total offense: MSU 2 / UM outside top 50

(CRB): Total defense: MSU 13 / UM 33 https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs/current/team/21

Griz aren't going to get crushed in meaningful games, but Cats will. See SDSU and UM games, for example.

I'm talking about this season, not last season. You are living in the past.

I call BS on the Cats going to be better in those areas. Running back, what a joke.

(CRB): Julius Davis is in this. Sumner, white, are just better as well. Cambers I’d argue is also a better runner, Mellott to boot.

I don't believe MSU led the nation in rushing. Report back to us.

(CRB:) Reporting back. Going well so far. Played the #1 and #10 FCS team already! Still leading…

(CRB): https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs/current/team/23

Again, Griz o-line is better and deeper than the Cats'. You aren't paying attention to the Griz. You are just spouting your normal nonsense.

(CRB): Omar (back up starting for injured Reed) from MSU in this.

(CRB): https://bigskyconf.com/stats.aspx?path=football&year=2023

I heard the passing attack was struggling. Your qb's can't throw the ball, for one.

(CRB): (Hoops can either of your QB’s pass OR run?).

The Griz will beat the Cats this year.

Ok I like it, Picasso

*this isn’t a bump for egris, it’s a bump for MTHoops so he can stop being a nimrod posing as a narcissist.

Hoops, if Bobby doesn’t need UM, then tell me where he would the HC if not in Missoula?
