Have heard that hauck signed a new five year contract

Hoping it's true

Does the State allow contracts over 4 years?

When’s next BOR meeting? I assume it will take a large contract to sign him.

Exactly why I keep saying this is the perfect level and program for Bobby. I'm not sure how he defines RTD but if he's not there he's really darn close. The guy pushing the narrative that BH is a hot commodity at the NFL level and there is a chance he might make that move just wants people to believe he has some kind of special insight/information. It's laughable.

Sounds like it is time for the commemorative return of Eddy Out!

I will try to brew a small batch of it cat-Griz week next year so we have it ready for the playoff run

Help give us a little more good luck juice next year

No idea just heard it from someone who knows the hai is that he just signed a new five year contract

Just saying I hope it's true and I hope it's the biggest contract a Griz coach has ever gotten as he def deserves it

Be curious if he is the highest paid coach in fcs or if he soon will be

I'll buy it; he told me last spring that he intended to coach another 5 years.

I believe that is the point of forums/discussions...and laughable works both ways!

Let’s bet $1,000 on whether has had NFL and ST interest. An easy way for you to make money, unless you are wrong.

Uh Ohhhh. The dreded long term, end of a career, contract let down may be right around the corner for UM. Got what he wants, now its time to relax and enjoy the good life.

Just kidding. It will probably make him even more motivated, now that he doesn't have to push hard for anything.

I know a close personal friend of Bobby's. He says Bobby feels he is too old to start a whole new head coaching gig. Bobby is happy in Missoula and would only consider leaving for an NFL Special Teams gig. Is Bobby actively searching for a Special Teams job in the NFL? That he didn't know.

Sorry Hoops. Maybe as an assistant to the special teams coach, but there is not a chance he would be the head special teams coach in the NFL.

I think this tells us more than anything that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, bruh.

Do you think that college football coaches cannot move into a special teams coach role? Or do you think that Hauck is somehow not known as a successful special teams coach? You have to think that one of those is not true, if you think he has no chance of being a special teams coach in the NFL. Which is it?

That you think he could is hilarious.

Which question do you disagree with? That any college coach could do it? Or do you think that Hauck is not known as a highly successful special teams coach?

I believe NFL special teams coaching positions will be a item of the past sooner rather than later. How many chances do NFL kick-off returners actually get to return the kick-off? The ball sails out of the end zone more times than not. Kick-off teams run the length of the field and wave to the fans in the end zones. Also, it seems to me more and more teams and going for 1st downs on 4th and 4 or less, once again punt teams are on the field considerably less than they used to be. When teams do punt, how often do the returners actually not call for a fair catch? Just a thought, but special teams in the NFL are changing. I hope Bobby gets a great contract and is in Missoula winning footballs games and championships :thumb:

He could make that move almost anytime he would want to. Fact.

Hauck has been contacted about being a head NFL ST coach several times over the year. Turned down a 7 figureish one in the last offseason. Fact. Colt Anderson is an asst ST coach. Bobby is head ST coach level in the NFL and has for years. Fact.

Let’s bet $1,000 as to whether Hauck has had NFL team discussions with teams over the years, most recently at pay level double or triple of what his UM package is now.

What about FG’s, extra points, game punts, fake FG’s, onside kicks? Punts aren’t going away either.
