Surely, AZgf, you are not so naive as to not understand where this increasingly tedious thread jumped the tracks...It began when poison from polson said, in part "..it is none of your business why anybody was fired..." Well, he sure as hell wasn't talking about Petrino because everybody in the world from Missoula to Mongolia has already heard the litany of his transgressions from Arky AD Long...So who does that leave us with by the process of elimination? Let me seeeee...who could that possibly be :?: :?: :?: Does educating the uneducatable always have to be like pulling their un-wisdom teeth?

And, yeah like I said before, leave Bobby P out of the discussion. That's not where the unanswered questions of UM fans are... only the clueless would think otherwise.

Wrong. Give me another example of this happening in this industry. Firing an athletic director and head coach cannot be compared to firing an employee at your landscaping business.

Geez, you people just don't get it. It is none of your busy body business when if and why anyone is fired, period. Just because some loser got fired and someone decided to blabber on about why, doesn't mean that is how it should be. An employee is still just an employee no matter where they work. Just because you need to know why doesn't make it so. What a bunch of Mother Hens.

And if any of you dumb asses who need to know why, well you will never get it then, even when given the reason why. You should have had an inkling that something was going to happen with all of the crap that has been going on lately. If not, well it just explains all of your incessant whining.

That's the funny part: Pflu and O'Day both seemed (like some here) genuinely SHOCKED that they were fired.

There WAS a reason given (at least by JOD and Pflu) The university wanted a change in leadership. Seems clear to me. They don't normally get rid of GOOD leaders, so they must have been BAD leaders.

are some of you guys just pretending to still not get it or did you REALLY not see this in the works? without any inside information, i think the head football coach and AD were fired because idiot players are in the news every other weekend for curb stompings, fights, dui's, bitings, rapes, gang rapes, etc.....

now i know that as a cat fan comments like this are automatically "trash talk" but come on. did you really not see this happening? it's over. it's done. coach is gone. AD too. you will get a new one. and i bet the landscape of um football changes. you'll still win a crap load of games because you have a great program. but you will do so without constant allegations and players running the show.

Big thing is the timing. Everything you stated above was the same 2 months ago. What changed in the past 2 months, or what else happened in that time period that lead to the firings in the middle of spring training? That's what people are questioning. The rumors run all over the place, from the heat Enstrom was getting for screwing up the press conference defending UM's actions in the Saudi student incident, to pressure Engstrom got from the new members of the Board of Regents. As it relates to O'Day and Pflu, the only concrete thing people can point to is Pflu's asinine statements regarding Jordy's character when he was permitted to resume practicing.

In hindsight, it looks like this has very little to do with Jordy. He is still practicing, and that has not changed since Pflu's dismissal. So many questions, until time has taken it's course.
