That doesn't count three of Johnson's four "carries" which were scrambles on pass plays, nor does it count Rohrbach's "carry" on the botched punt/safety. Thirteen called running plays--and they went for a net 64 yards (4.64ypc). And only THREE times did they run the ball twice to start drives. And guess what? two of those three times they got first downs on the 2nd carry. On the flip side, we THREW the ball 38 times, completing only 20. So, that's not exactly a 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust offensive approach, is it?
What are you arguing? I only say that when we tried to run the ball, we went nowhere. I realize we didn’t run it all that much but when we did run it, it was right up the middle. Of course except for when the QB runs the ball. Those aren’t designed run plays. Who gives a fvck how many times we ran the ball. The point is EVERY time we sucked at running up the middle behind this OL.
yes, that's why those 14 called running plays averaged 4.64 yards per carry. Because we sucked every time we ran up the middle.
