If you believe Stitt is a qualified football coach, so be it.

No way. He would've lost 15 games this season with the mess he left.

thank gawd bobby saved him this year, and he only lost 5 games!

Stitt would have lost more games. Jensen would have been sacked 25 times and thrown a dozen picks before being injured. UM o-line would have been exactly the same, but may not have had Sirmon switch to o-line. UM secondary would have given up more passing yards, due to not having enough good safeties.

But we would have had 6 or 8 more good receivers.

I agree. I shudder to even think what our record would've been with this rag-tag group if we had fake coach Stitt. Only a real, and all-world coach could've gone 6-5 with these players. Just look at how he was unable to gain 4" with two tries. Any lesser coach wouldn't have even had the opportunity to fumble on the goal line, from the shotgun.

What do you think of the view of a starter from last year who thinks the team over-achieved this year, based on its talent level?

that the starter needed to cover up his under-achievements? lotsa options.

He didn't have any under achievements.

So things must not be going well for Bob @ OKS.

I thought he was supposed to be paying his dues & was getting kicked up/downstairs as an offensive assistant there next season? An assistants position there is going to pay a hell of a lot better than OC in Greeley playing out the string for a lame duck coach. Collins goes 2 for the season until they’re done paying him I’d guess, because there is no other reason to keep him.

Have you ever been to Stillwater?  Makes Greeley look like a paradise.

For many years my Dad travelled to Stillwater twice each year on business. I noticed that he never spent the night in Stillwater. I asked him why and he said "Why would I do that?"

C’mon. No more then ten, but all of them by double digits. In fact UNI wins by so much in the opener that the committee can not only comfortably justify including them, but seed them 8th for this year’s tournament. At least half of the games would have been quarterbacked by a reshirt freshman or a player who should have been a third-string tight end. Dante Olson continues to kill it on special teams, but for the second consecutive season, is the backup to the backup on defense. But Calhoun would have played, so there’s that.

Totally agree. As the University of Montana Grizzlies who play in Washington-Grizzly Stadium, we were lucky to have a winning record. Hats off to the staff for pulling it off.

I agree with everything written tonight. I wished we didn’t have a coach named Bob a Stitt or Bobby Hauck. :thumb:

You had better bite your tongue. This here is a man's team. And that man goes by Bobby. Bobby. If you think that literally any other coach would've called literally any other play down the stretch than the one the defense just saw, then you just don't even know about trajectory.

Or, when to utilize the shotgun formation.

I lived in Greeley for 25 years. I left due to personal issues, not because of "the smell." It was prevalent back in the 70s until the Monfort feed lots, just north of town limits, closed down & moved to a new location. Feedlots are now east & south of Greeley, some distance, so I'd say smell is no longer a concern. Besides, where the Hell are you going to get your steaks? :o
The grocery stores that grow them like everyone else gets them.
But it’s still infamous for that smell the four years I lived there I don’t know how many times people would say something about how it stinks in Greeley after finding out I lived there. But now it’s in the past and I’m living in gods country again
"The grocery stores that grow them like everyone else gets them." What does that mean? Every chain runs its own feedlot, etc.? :? What 4 yrs did you live there? As I said, the Monfort feedlot that produced most of the smell has been moved, farther away. I think this was back in the late 70s or so.

As to tepee burners in Missoula (not your point), I think they were shut down before the late 60s when I was in grad school, there.

Off topic? No, because this is about Bob Stitt's move to UNC & the question was raised why he'd want to live in Greeley.

It was suppose to be joke about people thinking meat is grown in the trays you buy them in. Saw it somewhere.
I moved back to MT 2015. So not long ago. But I remember when smurfit stone, I think that was paper mill by Frenchtown, was running and how bad Missoula got at times
