There was no ash or soot emitted from the craft mill; that came from the teepee burners right in town. A lot of sulphur emissions is what came out of Hoerner-Waldorf; I did some part-time work in their lab. You could not take your clothes into the house after working out there. I can open a book today that I took out there to study and still smell the place. I had my car sprayed with 50% caustic one night in the company parking lot; they refused any culpability and no lawyer in town would handle a claim.Grizzoola said:Ya all forget Missoula with Waldorf-Hoerner paper plant at Frenchtown in the 60s. Come out in the mornings and black soot covering your car. Now, it's temp inversions in winter & wildfire smoke in the summers. Yeah, Greeley so much worse than Missoula, air-wise. :?The.Real.2506 said:I remember a former UNC coach saying that "It really doesn't smell that bad"BigSkyBears said:There are no feedlots in Greeley.
