Bob Stitt new OC at UNC?

Strong rumors are coming about that Bob Stitt is coming back to Greeley as the Bears new OC. Collins is coming back after a 2-9 season but is required to make some big time changes. Jon Boyer, (I think is a good young coach) is not coming back. This is being reported by UNC's reporter at the Greeley Tribune, but so far it is only a rumor.

I have mixed feelings about this. I think he will help with recruiting, but I've never liked his style of offense. Also, when he interviewed twice with UNC and was denied the job, there was a sense that his ego was too big, even for a head coach. If his ego is that big, how will he do as an assistant head coach? How did the Griz players respond to him as a coach?

I had thought the UNC head coach would be fired, and Stitt would take over and bring Jensen with him. If this is true, UNC would be a sure thing for Jensen under an offense he knows. I think Jensen will have better opportunities, in terms of better schools. Going with Stitt may be best opportunity, tho.

When I took 'Coaching of Football' from Jack Swarthout, I remember him stating: "The number one rule when you are head coach is never hire an assistant that can take your job from you". Coach Collins may be violating the Swarthout Rule.

He would need to compete. Keaton Mott is a very good QB. It’s not for certain he would win the job if he transferred.
