Blue Bloods FCS pre-season AA Teams

Finishing 4-4 for 6th place in your conference doesn't earn you recognition. Sorry, but it's the truth.

It may not for the team, which ended the season ranked 14th in the nation, but it shouldn't impact picking the best players in the nation. Any ranking person who jumps 2d and 3d teamers over 1st teamers in the off-season, is a total football idiot. That was my point.

Also, there are lots of players on this list who weren't on teams ranked 14th or higher.

As I have said before, anyone who keeps bringing 6th in the conference now either has an agenda or is a football idiot. Going to the playoffs, winning a playoff game, and being ranked 14th is much more important. And losing only to 5th playoff teams, 3 of which were seeded and one of which got a home game because they were probably 1 away from a seed, is nothing to be ashamed of.

This idiot's agenda thinks one....one...one...win over Idaho,Weber State,Sac State or Montana State is much more important than a round of 24 playoff win over SEMO State. Probably a few other Agenda Idiots agree!

You don't understand football, and are a football idiot. No, making the playoffs, winning a game, being ranked high in the FCS poll is much more important. Being ranked, on average, in the top 5 in FCS for the past 3 years, is much more important.

You can keep bringing up stupid and irrelevant stuff all you want, but that will just show how out to lunch you are.

Slogans like RTD will do that...

In the last 3 seasons, the Griz have the 5th highest average post-season ranking in FCS. Except for SDS, NDSU, Cats and SS, which teams have been more dominant than the Griz in ALL 3 of those years?

"When they gave me a trophy, I cried bro." - Dennis Rodman

Zero trophies does not equal RTD. Even BH knows this - ask him.

Why did you choose 3 years? Seems random.

Their narrative is tiresome for sure.

Please. We shouldn't be so judgemental. The know-nothing narcisist cheerleader spent his Saturday night scouring Google to cherry-pick stats for his come back. Doesn't that account for something?

So many idiots....... so little time. Yawn

And anyone who watched the SEMO game, and is an honest football idiot, will admit that SEMO was the better team on the field that day.

So some of you think that pre-season all-Americans should be selected like this: identify the top players returning, check how their team did the prior season. If team was 6th in conference, drop its first team all conference players from list and move up 2d and 3d teamers from schools ranked higher in conference?

Speak up if you believe Gubner is not good enough to make an all-American team. I think you should go on record. Show your football knowledge.

Most of these lists are garbage. But, they are getting JB right - so there's that.

Gub should be on all of these lists...he will be on them post season.

SEMO gagged that game away. Epic comeback - yes, but not without a lot of help. I still want to know how you show up flat, at home, for a game that meant so much?

Maybe Stitt and Delaney have nothing to do with year SIX of Bobby 2.0. Is it really expecting miracles given the length of time he’s been back? Or are we going to be blaming our woes on Stitt and Delaney for the next 20?

Both can be true.

I would like to know why supposed fans try to figure out reasons/excuses that the Griz should have lost games that they won.

"If the head coach, who is the ST coach, didn't have great ST players who knew how to make great plays, we probably would have lost. The Griz should dominate on offense and defense, and not have to rely on STs." That's a pretty funny one.

How does one say that the winning team was not the best team on the field that day, because the Griz needed ST's to ignite the comeback? Were the ST plays just plain luck? No talent; no preparation; no desire.

Yawn...... yeah, let's depend on our special teams to score TDs every game because our offense is inept.

That SEMO team beats us 4 out of 5 games in Missoula, and 5 out of 5 games in Cape Girardeau. But, as always, thanks for playing.

Montana won that game going away by 10. That is the tried and true measure of which team was better.

I will be speak up...I think Gubner would be on an NFL team had he decided not to come back..hard to believe he could be left any pre-season top players list and hard to respect any list that left/leaves him off. I think by the end of the season Gubner and Janacaro will be on a lot of lists.

If teams who have 6th place conference finishes can't get players on all-American teams, how did the Griz get 4 first team All-Americans on its 6th place conference team after last season? Maybe because the dumbasses at Hero Sport don't pick the main all-American teams.

The Griz beat SEMO 5 out of 5 times.

Hey, how come you are not listed in the UM Red Book as having played baseball? Because you didn't play baseball? Or what?

Team wise, I think these writers really don't do their homework. After Bobby 1.0, and after Pflu's second season, the Griz were ranked unbelievably high despite Delaney's obvious deficiencies. Three years of Deleney and three years of Stitt turned our cutting edge knife into a butter knife. Maybe they expect miracles from Bobby 2.0.

Maybe Stitt and Delaney have nothing to do with year SIX of Bobby 2.0. Is it really expecting miracles given the length of time he’s been back? Or are we going to be blaming our woes on Stitt and Delaney for the next 20?
Blaming Stitt and Delaney works for me ! :thumb:
Nuanez stated recruiting was turned around 6-8 years ago. Just thought I'd point out who the coach was. Besides, it was ALL under Haslam's watch.
Pointing to one person and saying, "It was HIM!" has its advantages, at times...

We are now going to hold it AGAINST Bobby Hauck that he is one of the best special teams coaches in the country? I'm sorry, what? That is absolutely a part of what makes Hauck a strong coach, especially at the FCS level. Not a lot of coaches are great at coaching special teams, and even most people whose job is to coordinate special teams thinks of it as a crappy assignment. We, thankfully, have a coach who embraces that part of the game and excels at it. We always have a strong punting game. We always have strong returners. And we always do a pretty good job in kick coverage. Those are part of winning a game, not something you just write off.

We beat SEMO. I don't see how you can hold a victory against us. For everyone saying we "came out flat," a person could point to the other side of the coin and say that the staff sure managed to fire up the team for the second half. All that matters is the end result of the game, which is why I have also been happy to admit that our trend line turned downward last season.

It was a hell of a 2nd half. That's a fact.

Agree we are lucky to have a very, very good special teams coach.
