It may not for the team, which ended the season ranked 14th in the nation, but it shouldn't impact picking the best players in the nation. Any ranking person who jumps 2d and 3d teamers over 1st teamers in the off-season, is a total football idiot. That was my point.

Also, there are lots of players on this list who weren't on teams ranked 14th or higher.

As I have said before, anyone who keeps bringing 6th in the conference now either has an agenda or is a football idiot. Going to the playoffs, winning a playoff game, and being ranked 14th is much more important. And losing only to 5th playoff teams, 3 of which were seeded and one of which got a home game because they were probably 1 away from a seed, is nothing to be ashamed of.

You don't understand football, and are a football idiot. No, making the playoffs, winning a game, being ranked high in the FCS poll is much more important. Being ranked, on average, in the top 5 in FCS for the past 3 years, is much more important.

In the last 3 seasons, the Griz have the 5th highest average post-season ranking in FCS. Except for SDS, NDSU, Cats and SS, which teams have been more dominant than the Griz in ALL 3 of those years?

How does one say that the winning team was not the best team on the field that day, because the Griz needed ST's to ignite the comeback? Were the ST plays just plain luck? No talent; no preparation; no desire.

That SEMO team beats us 4 out of 5 games in Missoula, and 5 out of 5 games in Cape Girardeau. But, as always, thanks for playing.

I will be speak up...I think Gubner would be on an NFL team had he decided not to come back..hard to believe he could be left any pre-season top players list and hard to respect any list that left/leaves him off. I think by the end of the season Gubner and Janacaro will be on a lot of lists.

Team wise, I think these writers really don't do their homework. After Bobby 1.0, and after Pflu's second season, the Griz were ranked unbelievably high despite Delaney's obvious deficiencies. Three years of Deleney and three years of Stitt turned our cutting edge knife into a butter knife. Maybe they expect miracles from Bobby 2.0.

That is absolutely a part of what makes Hauck a strong coach, especially at the FCS level. Not a lot of coaches are great at coaching special teams, and even most people whose job is to coordinate special teams thinks of it as a crappy assignment. We, thankfully, have a coach who embraces that part of the game and excels at it. We always have a strong punting game. We always have strong returners. And we always do a pretty good job in kick coverage. Those are part of winning a game, not something you just write off.

We beat SEMO. I don't see how you can hold a victory against us. For everyone saying we "came out flat," a person could point to the other side of the coin and say that the staff sure managed to fire up the team for the second half. All that matters is the end result of the game, which is why I have also been happy to admit that our trend line turned downward last season.
