Blast From Past - Name This Griz

So, I was out at Rio Sabinas in Billings sitting at the bar and enjoying the happy hour and great Mexican food with my wife. Place was packed,as usual, so there is a waiting line to get a table - most people wait to get a place at the bar until a table frees up.

Two seats open up next to us and this friendly couple (Couple1) sits down and we start chatting. I'm wearing a company shirt and the Couple1 wife notices that I work for a financial institution in Billings and asks if I know So-and-So. Turns out So-and-So is my boss. I tag them in a photo and send it to my boss. Turns out the Couple1 husband played basketball for the Griz and graduated in 1975 - about a decade before my time. Great couple! But, I forgot to ask him if I could post their pic - so I'll have to follow up and see if they mind having their pic posted on eGriz so people in the know can tag who he is.

While my wife and I are chatting with Couple1, two seats open up next to Couple1 and another couple sit down. I tell my wife and Couple1 that the gentleman who just sat down played for the Griz. The wife of Couple1 doubted it but I assured her he did.

Anyway, Couple1 is doubting me so I go down and introduce myself. Sure enough - he did play for the Griz. I asked him if I could tag him for eGriz and he chuckled and said yes - so I do have permission to post his pic!!! Great guy - fantastic personality!!

Tag him and the year he graduated if you can!

Sorry but the pic keeps posting sideways - (can the Admins help post it correctly???)

Plenty of people take pics of former Griz players when they see them. What's your problem?
 
Seems more like a "where are they now" thread. Nothing "creepy" about it. I recognize the fellow in the photo, but can't place a name with it.

Thank you! I was happy to meet two alum who played for the Griz - one who graduated in 1975 and another who graduated in 2009. Thought others might find it interesting as well.

I could care less about the cat fan who dissed me for being happy to meet an alum when he has a slogan worshiping Travis Lulay - that's weird in my opinion. But, followed by the so-called Griz fan who foolishly insulted the police and then me seemed over the top!
 
:lol: Not too hard when the title of the image gives away the answer. :thumb: Good OL for the Griz but I remember he was a great thrower for Billings Senior (I think), as well.

Yes, my bad! I couldn't figure out how to remove it last night but just did this morning.

Unless I'm very mistaken, the Billings Senior tag is wrong though!
 
Why would this be creepy? Lots of people close to the program know and talk to student athletes and it is a good thing. Get off your high horses if you think this is creepy the problem lies within your own head. Anything else is pure poppycock plain and simple.

Quit trying to make everything dirty and gross.
