Bison vs Griz will be all time Rubber Match

NDSU and UND are two separate institutions that is why their gear is less expensive.
Chances against the Bison this fall.
If she is your import I might agree with you.

reminds me of a great tune from back in the day!

So the Bizon are UND and the Bison are NDSU? That would explain why I was confused.
If the Griz are playing the Bison, I think they have a good chance. They were saying the Bizon won the tournament the last couple years.

There's some irony to your question in the last post, but that's for another time. Actually the NDSU "Thundering Herd" won back to back to back but who's counting if you're a Griz fan.

Got it. So, who are the Bison?

I thought Marshall was the Thundering Herd. You are not a bison fan, right?

NDSU BISON is the mascot!
NDSU BIZON is the pronunciation!
NDSU "Thundering Herd" is the other team experience before, during, and after the game!

So the other team feels like they are a thundering herd? What does that mean?

Good point. I bet he's just posing as a UND fan but he's really a Marshall fan here to gloat about 1996. Well played, Bizon, well played.

Seems confusing to have three nicknames.

There is considerable difference of opinion on that in various circles. Was is correct IMO!
Hail the Herd! Hail the Bison! Marshall had it's own cross to bear in the early 1970's so NDSU was not one to kick them when they were down.

The appropriateness of a Thundering Herd is much more attached to the Plains of North Dakota than hills and forests of West Virginia! :thumb:

That's all well and good, but Marshall is actually named the Thundering Herd, and you said North Dakota isn't named the Thundering Herd. The aren't many lakes around L.A., but that doesn't mean a team in Minnesota can just call itself the Lakers.

UND has no nickname at this time!
NDSU is the BISON and we play like a "THUNDERING HERD"
Actually the Los Angeles Lakers got their name from the Minneapolis Lakers when the NBA franchise left Minnesota and became the first NBA franchise on the west coast in 1960 and that is a Fact Jack!

Haha! Now I've heard everything. This picture has to be from the 1950s or earlier. Look at the name: L.A. Lakers!
