Bison at Colorado Game Thread

Bison fan here- some questionable play calling but lacking Wisniewski really hurt. Seconday had some true fresh in there at times. That's not gonna work agianst Sanders and especially Hunter. Cam Miller is really good.

It was a terrific game by Bison. Play-calling had nothing to do with it. Yes, Bison missed a good safety. What was wrong with him?

I doubt Miller liked QB 2 going in for key 2nd and 3rd downs after getting them to about mid field on a key 3rd quarter drive. Those plays both failed.

Hey hoops...Nice play by play in the first half for most of the world that's never heard of or had access to ESPN. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened next!

I just wonder what happened to our prior resident fake Bizon fan “2011BisonAlumni”. Open the spreadsheet, find the password for that username, and share some thoughts.

Someone has to try to get lifetime benchwarmers like yourself up to speed.

Bison safeties were a serious liability. They have some issues in their secondary - just really poor execution.

Don't know Bison Alumni guy but I'm alumni from DEEP in the last century. Ron Erhardt days.

Fwiw, games like these seem to often be live streamed on YouTube by pirate accounts.

I thought bison looked terrific.
I’m not saying they looked bad by any means, just not as good as they were in the 2017-2022 seasons….those were some incredible FCS teams. They just set the bar so damn high. They weren't able run the ball like they used to and their defense didn’t quite pass the eye test. Lots of wide open Colorado receivers z. Losing their stud safety definitely didn’t help. They’re good though for sure

Their Achilles heel this year will be that defense. Offense looked fine.

What the heck was D Sanders thinking throwing a deep ball at the end of the game when all they had to do was run the clock out? Made me think that the Colorado coach was worried about not covering the spread.

Colorado needs to run out the clock, they come out passing.
NDSU needs to SAVE clock and they're throwing short passes and runs. How much time did they waste having to get reset and spike the ball?
And why did the clock continue running for the last 15 seconds?
And WTF was that non-call on the targeting?

Lots to question about this one...suffice it to say both teams are probably fatally flawed...NDSU will do fine in regular season with pure talent, but won't make it to the NC (without some pretty dramatic improvement on D), and Colorado's D is an absolute sieve.

Colorado is a bunch of gunslingers, yeah, good gunslingers, but TEAM PLAYERS? No way in hell! The last play illustrates this point. Five seconds left, NDSU down by five, ball in their own end of the field. Hail Mary time. Everybody, announcers coaches, fans, concession workers, ME in TV land gotta say, 'Knock the f'ing ball to the ground.' But, no, gotta get an interception 'FOR MY STATS SHEET AND LEGACY!' Result: completed pass, but five yards short of the win. Plenty of columns out there reading the same basic theme, the Buffs are all flash and promotion, no substance, just like Neon. Big 12 will pick their bones.
