Big Sky Little League Today at 3pm on ESPN

9-1 bottom of 3 Washington

Lots of game left, Jayden had a rough start and gave them a lot of baserunners, he looked nervous.

We have the bats to get back into this.......as I type a 2 run shot 11-1 Washington.

Too bad for Billings, but my God I feel sorry for any LL team facing this Andrews kid from Rhode Island. 12 years old and 6'2" and 210 LBS. The kid can hit bombs. Go figure, as I type this. He strikes out.

The Lorkowski kid from Michigan is 6'2" 205 and in his first 2 at bats today he hit 2 HRs on of them almost hit car in the parking lot 20-30 yards past the fence. He pitched 5 innings of 1 run ball. He is only 12 years old.

Sorry AG1 about the Big Sky ll loss. But maybe you can root for Eastlake LL from Chula Vista. I not saying they can duplicate the "Blue Bombers" from CV that won it all in 2009. But they are good. Also, look out for the Tijuana Municipal Team in the International Bracket. They are "studs" too. There is just a lot of baseball talent in a 15 mile radius down here. By the way, Eastlake is the 4th team from San Diego county to go to Williamsport in a 12 year span.

No problem, we had a good run and I am proud of the boys from Billings. To be honest we didnt have the pitching needed to even get this far. Not bad arms just inconsistent at times. (Like today)

I am still proud as hell of all of them and am going to miss not knowing the kids who will be playing next year.

I might root for CV, but I am a Washington fan until/if they get bounced. Then my teams will be whoever is more west than east.

You know after watching some games today, it still frustrates the hell out of me that as coaches you teach your players where the strike zone is and some kids are dialled in to it.......then you get some umpire with a fu*ked up zone 2 feet outside or nothing inside or they wont give a pitch for 5 innings then all of a sudden the low strike is called and the kids on both teams get screwed by that.

The Michigan Illinois game was horrible at the end.

Nice win tonight CV good luck in Williamsport

What team do you like so far in LL World Series? I am a Chula Vista fan but lookout for TJ Municipal(Mexico). Wow!

I thought that Washington team was sneaky good but they lost today.

Mexico and Japan are going to be tough outs. Its starting to look like CV is gonna be there in the end.

I will go with your pick CV because I always cheer for the teams on the westside.

Plus, with the long hair some of CV's players have that Griz "look".

Montana kids have been looking pretty tough in LL and softball the last few years. This is what, the fourth national tournament team counting billings LL and I think the Butte girls went a couple times recently 2012 to world series and regionals this year. With our crappy spring weather how do they develop so well? This is cool!

I can only speak for the Big Sky players but the reason they have been developing so well is coaching. There have been 5 guys coaching over there that are simply some of the best coaches I have ever been around now or back when I was playing sports. One guy used to kind of piss, me off because I never had a coach like him when I was growing up, he is simply awesome.

The cool thing that was very beneficial to the last 4 years of kids going through Big Sky was that each coach had strengths that others didnt and they all complimented each other very well. The biggest attribute was there were no egos amongst those guys it was all about the kinds and that is kind of rare to get a group together like that, they meshed very well.

It's kind of a shame that every kid who loves baseball doesn't have access to coaching like that. Coaching like that is rare and most kids, even the good ballplayers don't get that level of coaching.

"To be the man, you gotta beat the man" to quote Nature Boy Rick Flair. Japan was too hungry for CV. I was worried how CV would execute in a tight game. They had their chances just like Mexico did but Japan was "nails" when it counted!
