The league as a whole is more physical. Way more physical, and playing in it sharpened iron on iron.

I’m just going off of what former players have told me. Pretty much unanimous opinion is that the Big Sky is pretty dam soft compared to the MVFC.

Why do you think Weber State’s coach and MSU’s coach have both continuously referenced the MVFC and are trying to mold their teams to fit that style of play?

Where/when have the Weber and MSU coaches said they "are trying to mold their teams to fit that [MVFC] style of play?" Just curious. Hadn't been following and hadn't seen that.

JMU and NDSU got a pass to the semi because they had to play the clam chowder the MVC middle of the pack teams. Weber had to beat us and we have never,ever, in any situation ever lost to the the rubbish that is Northern Iowa, hell we've beaten the Bison more than UNI has beaten us. What was Illinois State 7-5, last team in and what a burner team, one player. 9-3, watch Bissonalumus claim the QB should be on the wall of fame because his team won.

There is a dam good reason why UNI and Illinois State have both played NDSU tight in the playoffs in recent years and SDSU has beat them in the regular season.

UNI and SDSU are so physical that they're a combined 0-15 vs. Montana. Something to really spout off about. After NDSU you have no point.

Montana has been extremely good against both teams.

3 different programs in the championship game in the last 5 years.

Riiiight....it has nothing to do with the fact they clearly are the best two teams in the FCS.

You are right , UM just had a gauntlet of a schedule. I mean look at Sac State (a team who throttled UM) and were embarrassed in the quarterfinals by an OVC team and MSU (a team who throttled UM) and were beat by flipping UND and throttled by NDSU.

Such a dam tough schedule. Yep that’s the reason why they didn’t make it to the semi finals.

The conference co-champions of the Big Sky were blown out, at home, in the Quarterfinals to an OVC team. The two other highest seeded Big Sky teams were both completely embarrassed in the semifinals.

You don't read too well. Nowhere in my post did I even hint that the GRIZ should have been in the semi's. I was just remarking that in their quarterfinal games both NDSU and JMU got to play MVC teams which is a much easier road to the semi's than other teams had. The reason being that outside of NDSU (who are the best team in the history of the FCS, and it's not even close) the MVC is not as strong as some other conferences. It's like how in most years the Patriots get six easy wins because the AFC East is usually rubbish (allowing this year that the Bills have a very good defence).

Montana had one of the toughest schedules in FCS; check the SOS. MSU one of the easiest. With 13 teams in the conf there are huge differences in SOS within the conf. We got the tough draw this year. 10-4 with 10 dominant wins including 3 playoff teams, one #3 seeded. Losses to PAC12 champ Oregon and the other 3 to seeded teams. Star QB hurt midseason and compromised thereafter. Next year we get the easier BSC schedule which should benefit seeding. A good year for the 2nd year of rebuild; we are coming. In the meantime you can GFYS; you are making a lot of JMU fans here. You're everything that's so unlikable about NDSU.

Speaking of "owned", it JMU beat by 30-14 (16 points), and held Weber to 256 yards, are these things also owning (or worse)?

Weber beat UNI 29-17, after leading 29-10 at the half. Weber allowed UNI 384 yards, 131 of which came in the 4th quarter. So, 253 until the 4th quarter.

UM beat Weber 35-16, of which 13 were scored by Weber in the last 8 minutes (after UM had subbed on defense). So, more like 35-3. UM allowed 363 yards, of which 188 came in the 4th quarter. Yes, Weber then beat UM 17-10 after 5 interceptions and 1 blocked put for a TD, but UM's defense gave up only 113 yards and 8 first downs. UM's defense certainly owned Weber more than JMU's did.

Yes, NDSU owned the Cats. The Cats owned the Griz too.
