PR, I wouldn't send you a bag of my excrement. And I frankly don't care whether you believe me or not.

In either event, you're either lying, or the person had no freaking idea who I was. And btw, it hasn't escaped me that you've said repeatedly we haven't met and you don't know who I am, but yet somehow you were able to tell this nebulous "senior administration official", who no doubt spends a GREAT deal of time on eGriz, who EverettGriz is.

You should probably think through things a little better before your post your bullshit.

So much for your supposed "national ranking". Everything I posted was 100% correct. No BS about it. I have never said I don't know your name. I just haven't met you, to my knowledge. If you think I don't know who you are, do you mind if I post your name and say what your alumni position was? Okay to link to link your LinkedIn? Maybe you are the one who should link before you post.

My name is Jose Emanos.

"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Lots of substantive posts here on the tourney in Reno. Personally, I was very pleased that Boehning and Bradshaw proved our depth in Reno over the weekend. Saw both digging deep early and often into the water jug to get the starters some water during timeouts.

Damn funny.

How could anyone be pleased with the Reno location? Aren't there supposed to be fans at basketball games?

Such minor things as attendance are of little concern to the bsc when there are participation ribbons to hand out.

Everyone I have talked to who was at Reno, said it was a terrific (or at least good) and well-run event. Said it will grow and get better in the coming years. A common theme was that it was fun to stay in the main hotels, keep running into people you know and seeing others of note, and be so close to the venue and other amenities. Said the small crowds were surprisingly loud. The only complaint I've seen or heard, is Mavman's that the beer/drink lines were sometimes too long--but he liked the event overall.

Go somewhere else if that bothers you. It is the wave of the future whether you like it or not. The Big Sky is what it is and complaining on a msg board is useless. Start a petition or something. You sound like a broken record, back when they had such things.

Soooo, it was like holding the tournament in Missoula, staying at the Double Tree, and drinking at the Mo Club, but without anyone actually going to the games.

Gotcha.

Actually, it's the wave of the past.

I spoke briefly with a longtime Griz fan who went to Reno. He echoed much of what PlayerRep reported. He said he's already making plans to attend next year. The only "downer," he said was that quite a few fans, and some women's team players & staff, reportedly had severe food reactions after eating at one of the casino/hotel "booffays."

Two days of driving one way will make many of the fans who can't afford to fly to stay home. Yeah, that's a good way to treat the people who supported you all season long.
Always sounds loud in an empty cave.
Oh well let the people go who think schmoozing was worth the price of flying, sorry that leaves me out, a regular fan who made every home game.

Which Big Sky tournaments have you attended outside of Missoula? Just curious.

None, PlayerRep. I've been pretty upfront about that. BUT, I estimate I've missed between 7-10 home games total since 1970 when I returned to UM after my military obligation.

That is an extremely impressive attendance record. Wow! Can't imagine that anyone has seen more home games during that period than you have. Did you go to Viet Nam?

Not technically "in" Vietnam, but "over..." Was with the USAF Strategic Air Command (B52s & KC 135s).

I like Reno and I think if fits the bill perfectly. As a former member, UNR has some relevance. We're never going to compete with the big dogs so why try (LV). Reno is in the west, relatively small, but fun, just like our conf. There is nothing "neutral" about Spokane, SLC, or Billings. There are multiple schools in (most of) those states (or very close thereby), and those locations are not as "central" as Reno, nor as accessible. I get that attendance may be higher in those cities but that defeats the purpose as Reno truly is neutral compared to the others, and has much more of a resort/destination/vacation aspect to it.
So the objective is to get the tourney as far away from ANY CONCENTRATION of fans to the point where NOONE attends???
