Big Sky All Conference

Maybe they already know Olson will win the Buchanan and so threw the other guy a bone like the year Holmes won. :thumb:

Dante Olson
151 tackles, 11 TFL for 55 yards, 6 sacks for 43 yards, 2 INT, 3 forced fumbles

Jay-Tee Tiuli
29 tackles, 6.5 TFL for 36 yards, 4 sacks for 30 yards, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery

You tell me where Olson wasn't better! Not only that, he wasn't even unanimous 1st team! What a hose job.

You do realize they play different positions, right? Don't get me wrong Olson is a stud, but 151 is a little skewed, his solo tackles are on par, but his assisted tackles are throwing the # off. Just cause a guy jumps on a pile he shouldn't get credit for .5 assisted tackle. He is a great player, plus he still has another year.

Troy Anderson as 1st team QB and Olson not defensive mvp shows that these rankings are nothing but a sham and an overrated popularity contest.

When are you guys going to get mad that our backup QB who played in 4 games was 3rd team All Big Sky QB and your QB who played in every game was only honorable mention? Because I'm here for that 8-)

Question: Is everyone ELSE who "jumps on the pile" for other teams getting credit for .5 of a tackle? If so, then his numbers aren't skewed in the least.

No one who jumps on a pile ever gets credit for a tackle or 5 tackle. Please stop with the stupid stuff.

I think he must have been really good in the 3 or 4 games he apparently played. He only had about 120 fewer tackles than Olson, but made up for it with only slightly fewer sacks, TFLs, INTs, and fumbles forced. Pretty impressive in only limited action.

I think most of the coaches were projecting the 100 additional tackles and 10 sacks if he would have played against UM's OLine. :thumb:

That may be. But 29 tackles is still pretty good for three games. I can see why he got the award.

I get it, coaches really aren't qualified to vote for the best players they had to prepare for. I think it's a conspiracy against UM.

How do coaches vote for or against players that they don't prepare for, since lots of teams don't play each other?

Tiuli must be a stud, because his stats and production appear to be very low. I have not noticed any writer or poster who predicted that he would even be in the running.

Member when you said it was BS that an Eagle player peed in the tunnel and then you disappeared like a lil' bitch baby when I posted a fucking picture with a date stamp of it happening? Haha! That was funny!

As for Jaylee Tuuti, he's a decent player that nobody has ever heard of.

It's pretty clear that some of the coaches just voted for players of the top teams. I suppose that happens much of the time. With teams not playing each other, it's probably easier for coaches to just vote for players from the good teams, as they haven't played against so many teams. I think the defensive MVP and Anderson on the first team undercut the credibility of the selections. Oh well, life goes on.

First team:
Weber State: 13
Eastern Washington: 5
Idaho: 3
UC Davis: 2
Idaho State: 2
Montana State: 1
Montana: 1
NAU: 1
Cal Poly: 1
Portland State: 1
Southern Utah: 1
Sac State: 1

I took a break when one of your classy fans wished a lou gehrigs disease diagnosis on me. fwiw

As for that pic you shared, it showed nothing but a player standing in a tunnel with his back to the field. Maybe he was gathering his thoughts, stretching, praying, eating a hot dog. I have no idea. But nice "smoking gun". lol.

Hahaha! Peeing or "gathering thoughts". I hear if you gather your thoughts too much you'll go blind.
