So ATL, do you think Stitt should be fired now so no more damage is done? hONEST, "FOOTBALL" QUESTION

No, I don't think Stitt should be fired, but it was a mistake to hire him, and in another couple of years it will become obvious to all of the posters who think he can coach at this level.

Proof that you have no damn clue what you're talking about

He has no clue about how the hiring process went either. And he has no connections in the athletic dept, even tho he thinks he does.

curious....I admit you can only read so many ATL posts....but did he ever state....based on all his knowledge....of football and the UM hiring process.....mention whom should have been hired instead of Stitt to bring UM back to National prominence........and I don't mean pie-in-the-sky.....I mean someone that actually applied for the job........

No, just like he won't say how he thinks the Griz will do this year, despite us having to rebuild and having a shitty O-line, no receivers, a QB that "only played 3-4 games last year" :? :? And a coach who is over his head at the D-I level.

Wrong AGAIN! Gee, you're about 0-4 lately posting about me! I have NEVER stated that I have "connections" in the athletic department. I said I know a couple of coaches, and have played golf with them. Stop fabricating sh*t.

All recruits are hyped. You act like our team/fans are the only ones to do it.
.

...But, I still say we will never go deep into the playoffs using Stitt's offense...
Right, but to read Wally and others, we will field a veritable juggernaut this fall, using about 15 kids who have never played, or played sparingly last season. I say the chances of that happening are slim. 2017 yes, 2016, no.

So in 2017 we will field an offensive juggernaut using Stitt's offense and recruits, but we won't ever be able to make a deep run in the playoffs because of Stitt's offense and recruits...is that pretty much the complete contradiction you're stating? If so...would you be willing to bet me $500 that the Griz don't make the semis during Stitt's time at Montana? Let me know.

Seems this time last year you were predicting more doom and gloom for the Griz, culminating in the spewing of hundreds of posts, ultimately predicting a 20 point loss in the home opener to NDSU and berating Griz fans who simply thought the Griz would make it a good game...fun to be you.

OK, i'll call your B.S. Show me a post where I predicted a 20 point loss to NDSU

Youre Montana, show some self respect and run a power offense, would ya. This Stit ain't goona fly. Get a big running back, and a bigger one in front of him, and run the damn ball.

Right, but don't piss in their cereal. They are having wet dreams about lighting up the scoreboard with "Air-Stitt". Besides, what would a NDSU fan know about how to win football games? :D

So who should the Griz have hired? And you can't say Brent Pease. He was not a finalist.

There were over 75 applicants for the job, and some Division II coach with a 64% lifetime W/L record is the best we could hire, because he invented the legendary "fly sweep" that we ran 2-3 times for losses last year???? Yeah, I know that Joe Glenn came from Division II, but he also won two National Championships there, and was a national power every year. Big difference!

Ha. Hard to argue with that.

I wouldn't suggest letting Titleist hold the money. He'll use it for liquor money.

Does anybody really care about Stitt Inventing the fly sweep? It is a moot point on his resume...For all intensive purposes, Tavon Austin IS the freakin' fly sweep... All of this showering of love on Stitt and the West Virginia coach's play calling in that bowl game against Clemson is comical. Give an explosive athlete the ball and big plays happen! Wow, it's so innovative.... Stitt will EARN his reputation by turning UM football into a national contender again. That's the only thing that really matters at this point. If he doesn't
succeed, he'll be gone. Expectations are high in Griz nation.

He sure hasn't.

If Growler's object is to get you to waist a Friday night and Saturday afternoon sparring with him on a computer or cellphone then he has you in spades. If nobody responded to any of his posts you'd deny him the kicks he so craves. Just because someone calls doesn't mean you have to answer the phone...

Wait a minute. Defense wins championships, but Stitt will never win one because of his offense?? Makes no sense.
What if his defensive coaches and recruiters assemble a great defense. Then any offense should suffice.

True but after he got loaded there would still be $485 left............

Here's the first one I found, from your NDSU eating crow thread:

"I am going to give my UN-biased game evaluation. First, I was wrong in predicting that NDSU would win by 20 points..."
