Grizzoola....living in Billings, rest assured we know Byers is a cat fan and to the extreme. However, he did a good job calling the Griz game.

Actually, I think Grady and Callahan are both pretty damn objective. I watched entire replay when I got home, and Grady was constantly lauding Cal Poly on offense and defense. Does he get more excited when the Griz do something good? Sure he does. But he color commentates the other team on every single play too, and sometimes to the point that it seems he's trying too hard to make people know he's objective. Grady is a very good color analyst on a local TV level. And so is Callahan.

This. If he has a weakness, this is probably it. He goes out of his way to acknowledge individual efforts on both sides, sometimes with a reach. I was actually glad he wasn't doing the Panhandler game, because it may have been painful listening to him try to say good things ("The right guard had his hands in great blocking position on that play") during an 11 yard CPSU loss.

Disagree, because he was this way all game. I interpret as I said: He's talking to HS football players. He's teaching football to kids. He's got a tremendous teaching tool when he's calling games, in live time. More power to him.
