So if I'm lucky enough to snag a few tickets to the Bison/Griz Battle Royal, what are a couple local Montanian brews a guy must partake in??.......I mean besides Rainier... I know, I know thats not local, I just remember as a kid visiting relatives in the Bozeman area and always seeing the motorcycle Ranier commercial......Raiiiiiiiiiiiin, neeeeeeeeeeer, Beeeeeeer! You could never get it in ND, hell maybe it is brewed in MT, anybody know?? It tastes like shit from what I can remember.

When you're in Missoula. You will need to hit up our breweries.. We have plenty of em.

Draught Works, Kettlehouse, Big Sky, Tamarack, Bayern, Great Burn, Flathead Lake, and there will be one more that will open up before you get here.

Missoula has the best beer scene in Montana. Everyone loves beer over here!
Lolo Peak Brewing is good too, only a short drive. At least 2 micro distilleries (maybe 3) to visit as well.

This reminds me of the best beer comercial ever made, when the Rainer motorcyle is doing that and then gets run over by the Hamms beer truck. In the land of sky blue waters starts playing. In the last couple of years I have been making a point of drinking Hamms on game days, for reasons many on this board will understand, but I am not allowed to explain.

Back when Rainer was an ok beer it was brewed in Seattle. After the brewery closed in 1977 the brand was sold to Oly, in Tumwater. The brand then sold several more times and is now brewed in California. Same name but terrible "beer". The old company once did do a commercial for Montana though......

Nothing wrong with Hamms. Or Old Milwaukee!

you are right Hammer, it was SOLD in 77, "to Heileman Brewing Company, and passed through several more hands before finally winding up owned by Pabst, which closed it in 1999"
