Kettlehouse is indeed fine. Was introduced to their famous Cold Smoke several years ago, but found that the big winner for me was their IPA Double Haul. They get the hops just right in that one.

Also if you are ever around Flagstaff they have a brewery on the site of an old lumberyard, right down town, and their Lumberyard IPA is to die for.

Had a Scotch ale in Billings at Uber Brew . Made Cold Smoke taste like warm PBR. :clap: The North West US has the best Beer in the World.

So if I'm lucky enough to snag a few tickets to the Bison/Griz Battle Royal, what are a couple local Montanian brews a guy must partake in??.......I mean besides Rainier... :lol: I know, I know thats not local, I just remember as a kid visiting relatives in the Bozeman area and always seeing the motorcycle Ranier commercial......Raiiiiiiiiiiiin, neeeeeeeeeeer, Beeeeeeer! You could never get it in ND, hell maybe it is brewed in MT, anybody know?? It tastes like shit from what I can remember.

When you're in Missoula. You will need to hit up our breweries.. We have plenty of em.

Draught Works, Kettlehouse, Big Sky, Tamarack, Bayern, Great Burn, Flathead Lake, and there will be one more that will open up before you get here.

Missoula has the best beer scene in Montana. Everyone loves beer over here!

Rainier beer was a Seattle beer (as in Mt. Rainier), the brewery was an Icon in Seattle with a large R sign right next to the freeway. Got sold off to PBR, and they closed the brewery in the late '90's, so now it is basically PBR.

the motorcycle commercial was good, but personally I liked the herd of wild Rainiers, and "total foam out" demolition derby commercials better.

All the microbreweries in Missoula are good, and different. Have one at each (bring a driver).
