Your bitching about it won't change anything. You don't know that next year will be wasted. I was as dissapointed with the coaching this year as anybody but I'm also ready to put last season behind us and hope these coaches will improve. I know the talent on the field is there and I can't wait for spring ball. Go Griz.

The point is that anybody with a viable coaching future and is not a masochist would be well advised to pass on UM until the pervading culture changes for the better. Presently as we all know it sucks...

this would have been a better way to begin the discussion and make a point.

i don't see why anyone thinks this is so far fetched. maybe times have changed, but kramer left a decent e.w.u. for a decrepid program at m.s.u. the major differences being that baldwin has a great team at e.w.u. and kramer actually coached at m.s.u. previously. still the relative drop from e.w.u. to u.m. can't be any worse than the drop from 1999 e.w.u. to m.s.u., which was 3-8 on its way to 0-11.

That said, can you geniuses explain to me how going from EWU to UM is a “drop”? Recent drama aside, are you guys really that naïve and short-sided?

:lol: I love how people still think EWU is a "commuter school." EWU's enrollment has been on the rise for several years now and is now up over 12,000 students. Believe me, most students attending EWU are living in Cheney. There is a reason the dorms are full and a new 5 story res hall is going up on campus right now...On the flip side, I hear UM's enrollment is on the decline?

We get it, UM has what every other team in the big sky wants and that's a huge fan base, a beautiful stadium and a team with a long history and tradition of winning. I don't doubt any of that for a second and I respect the Griz as a program despite what is happening right now. But to stoop as low as saying a third of EWU players wouldn't even get into UM is insane!!! Do you really think academics are that much different between the two schools or really at any school in the conference? If I do recall, EWU also won the President's trophy in 2010 for the top academic scores in the conference? Do they have different qualifications for that? I was accepted to both UM and EWU and I can assure you, there isn't that big of a difference between the two schools. Let's stick to football, huh?

There's a history of EWU coaches/moving "sideways."

Jerry Graybeal, who always complained about being treated like a whore in Butte on Sat night after losing in the last game at old Dornblaser in 1986 went to Weber as HC, and John Johnson went to Weber as an administrator, later AD.

And Kramer, as mentioned earlier, to MSU.

I'm sure UM could pay more (including side stuff) than EWU, but I doubt that now (w/KPAX money gone, among others) it would be enuf. + uncertainty of unfinished probes.

The later is a reality for any potential candidate.

Another probable reality: the salary floor has gone up and will continue to rise.

The only safety problem SE needs to worry about is overdosing on his valtrex, he should have never sucked that homeless person off. I know its none of my business what he does but his mom talks a lot after sex so she talks a lot.
