Beau Baldwin would be a great catch...

When you have the Booger coaching your team, everyone looks like a catch.

f*** get over it would ya?

UM asked Delaney to come here, he didn't ask for it.

He's our coach for next season. Lets show some support.
That makes him a competent coach? He will waste another year for the Griz. Who cares who asked him to come. Engstrom is an idiot.

Your bitching about it won't change anything. You don't know that next year will be wasted. I was as dissapointed with the coaching this year as anybody but I'm also ready to put last season behind us and hope these coaches will improve. I know the talent on the field is there and I can't wait for spring ball. Go Griz.

I suspect Baldwin will be coaching at EWU next year unless something in the landscape really changes. There is still a rumor out there that Chip Kelly might leave Oregon, and if so, I believe they've talked to Chris Peterson from Boise and would take him to Eugene. That would leave an opening at Boise State, and Baldwin might go all-in to get that job.

My guess is this doesn't happen this year, but with Baldwin stock so high and climbing, I think he'll eventually get a big money job--- probably MWC level or similar.

he is the best coach in the big sky  :thumb: and second best coach in the northwest behind kelley at oregon! he loves eastern washington and just might not leave for a long time other than a job in the same area. if things keep going at wsu like it is he will be the next coach their!

Same pay, higher taxes, higher cost of living, higher pressure, higher academic standards, under NCAA's microscope . . . sounds legit.

He's going to get some looks and offers. I wouldn't plan on him sticking around forever.
Which coaches do "stick around forever"?
Look at the coaching carousel in FBS this year. Unless your coach is Bill Snyder it seems you can count on a change it is only a matter of time... and money.

Good point and MSU may find that out all to soon. College athletics is a money game - period. Ash gets a better offer he would likely take it. Bigger bank account, better facilities, fans that stay until the end of the game, etc.

'Zactly right, Hammer. I agree completely.
I am all about personal growth, learning from mistakes and second chances. Delaney is capable and qualified to come out next season and prove the cry-babies and doubters wrong from game one. Hoping he does just that and giving him my full support.

Back to the original thread title:

Does anyone know if Baldwin is on the market?
Would he be able to juggle a serious relationship and coach at the same time?
Does he like pasty white, pillsbury doughboys that like long walks on the track around the EWU field, cock strawed mimosas and puppies?

If so I have the ultimate catch for him!

If Beau likes no necked, spineless, cyber trolls this guy will give a whole new meaning to cradling the balls!

Cue the picture of Matt Cline and I............................ plagiarist

With you Hammer. Mick is here to get us past the legal issues and investigations, which will take another year for the dust to settle. The sun will rise again for Griz FB; but we should be fine next year; it was a weak graduating class. Key is settling on a QB other than SSH that can perform.

At least 1/3 of the current EWU roster wouldn't get into UM. No, UM isn't Stanford, but the academic differences would shock most of you.

Oh, I get it. The Griz aren't better on the field because they're fretting about keeping up the University's sterling academic reputation. How pathetic. This crap about Montana being a cut above academically is just that. Crap. You want proof? Here's your freshman admissions requirements http://admissions.umt.edu/apply" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Just pick and choose 3 of your qualifications from a list of 17 possibilities. There must be something you're good at, right? Here's just one:
"completion of a Rigorous High School Core that includes four years of math with grades of C or higher." Oooh, a C average. That is rigorous.
Eastern on the other hand has two ways to get in. A 3.3 GPA with completion of courses in six areas, or a review process. That's it. http://www.ewu.edu/undergrad/freshman/requirements.xml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
The differences really are shocking.

Dude...we get it.

You beat us, you beat a horrible team, you won you barely beat our worst team in 30 years. Now go back to your own board and quit looking like a watered down attention whore.....you know like SE's mom.......with another liquid....not water.

We're a State University, you're a commuter school, deal with it...

btw your "review process" is to admit all football/basketball players as "students".

Is um's review process any different?

So Eastern is a school in which a large majority of students live off campus? That's what a "commuter" school is. Are you certain about that? I think the majority of students at Eastern probably live on campus.

msu has the same issues as UM does. Whether Eagle fan wants to believe it or not they have student athletes we can't get admitted, and the stahdards are going to rise again next year. if you can fog a mirror you can get into ewu. that being said, Baldwin is a way better coach than what UM has.

Ash needs to learn how to win a HOME playoff before he even gets a sniff from a better program IMO.
