I believe it is intended to stand for Mediocrity and if so then GET OFF THEIR BACKS. They damn well earned the right to wear it.CDAGRIZ said:EverettGriz said:Is that why they chose that yellow color?
I think so. They have tried to distance themselves from the official school colors of Royal and Yellow, but nobody really knows why. The piss color on their helmets now just looks like the piss of someone who is severely dehydrated and should probably go to the hospital. I'm not really sure what color cat piss is, so maybe they are going more authentic.
It still does not explain the M on the helmets. Nobody has a clue what it stands for. When they debuted this look about 15 years ago, I initially thought the M was for Montana. Then, I realized that it was State College, not the University of Montana. Because no State College in the entire nation is f***[*] dumb enough to put only the initial of the state on its helmets, the mystery remains. Is it a reference to an alum? Does it stand for meth? Murder? What's really going on here? Has Harry already lost control of that locker room?

OTOH, his eyes look like two vim holes in the snow , so maybe he had it coming. He's not going to have a pot to vim in, nor a window to throw it outta.

Ebullient vitality and energy, as in He was full of vim and vigor after that swim. This redundant expression uses both vim and vigor in the sense of “energy” or “strength.”

Common mistake. It's actually "vim and vinegar." As in, Angry Fan was full of vim and vinegar after the Cats lost to the Griz again.

Said fan was so full of of vim and vinegar, went down to local bar, had one to many, later vimmed himself in back alley.

No, its actually both as in piss and vinegar . . . OR vim and vinegar. Vim and vigor is also common, vigor thought to be a more upscale word than vinegar. (I might or might not have made that "upscale" thing up). However no evidence of any common use of the phrase: piss and vigor anywhere.
BTW -[full of] piss and vinegar is said to mean hot to trot among other things. Would that be . . . hot to trot up that trail of tears?![]()
