Okay. I know some of you dislike Engstrom. I get that. But please explain how the F-CK he is at all responsible for lack of effort, lack of focus and players not coming out ready to play??

Have I missed something? Is JJ throwing a ton of picks, I don't have access to the same media coverage up here but I put him at 17 TD's and 4 Ints. He lost Henderson, his best receiver and is playing behind 5 rookies on the line. Not exactly crap numbers then is it?
We've lost 4 games. One to an FBS where we were leading until the lightning. Don't bother telling me how crap Wyoming is because they still get all the advantages of being an FBS. We lost to NDSU in their cow shed (or out there I assume corn crib) in a pretty close game. I don't have ESPN up here but from what I understand NDSU has been half decent the last few years. We lost to EWU at their migraine inducing blood stain of a field, where they haven't lost since like before Breaking Bad became a reality TV show in the hills around Cheney. And we lost to Cal Poly, the number one rushing team in the country.
Could be we had the toughest schedule in maybe the whole country and we are going into the last week at Fortress WGS, where all likelihood a win gets us back in for like the 22 time in 24 years or some ungodly thing like that. We have a chip and chair and we play the hand.

Lack of effort, lack of focus and not being ready to play are direct evidence of a lack of effective coaching and/or poor coaching. Engstrom wrongly fired a great coach and hired a great guy that is not a good head coach. That head coach put together this coaching staff that has lead this team down the trail of mediocrity. And I am not sure that he is smart enough to correct his mistake...or even see that it was a mistake, for that matter.EverettGriz said:
I think the point could be argued that Pflu is a great coach. He had one terrible season and one good one here. And he hasn't held onto a job since. That said, I agree Mick isn't the guy to take UM back to the top. But he rescued the program from a shit pile, none of which was his doing. Then he put up the same damn regular season mark Pflu did.
For those of you who feel Robin shouldn't have been fired after going 10-2, how could you justify firing Mick last season??
Let's let the next few weeks play out before we all assume what Engstrom will do. It seems to me that with the academic center and the new locker rooms that the dude absolutely cares about the program. But then I don't have an agenda.

Yep ... it is a testament to JJ and the other leaders on this team that the Griz "are still in the playoff hunt." As for the O-Line ... I suppose they want to do the job -- to protect Jordy and consistently open holes for the backs. But, whether they are lacking in physical skills, under-sized, poorly coached, or whatever ... they just cannot get it done, consistently.go96griz said:

Don't take this wrong but please tell me you are not happy with the current state of Griz Football.
He has recruited the OLine. As I said, we have a true frosh he brought in whose good enough to best out the juniors and seniors Robin recruited. Has he done enough of it? I dunno. Ask me in 4 to 5 years.

You're right we're in great shape. All is well in Grizland. Maybe Mick will get another extension so we can continue down this road of high level football where the GRIZ are a (barely) middle of the pack team. Yay mediocrity.EverettGriz said:
