It is what it is... FCS is a stepping stone for young coaches. Come in and get the job done, and you will move up. It is a good thing in my mind. In 2020 we lost our Head Coach, DC, and OC...

Looking at it from a broader persective, it can absoulutly be a good thing when OC/DC get poached. It means people want your assitants, presumably because they have demonstrated promise and capability and come from a strong program. It also brings vitality back into a program with bright young minds coming in with new ideas and in general won't have lasting damage on a program provided the head coach is flexable and open to change. I doubt, especailly with a semifinal win and possible Natty, the Cats will be impacted significantly and will have lots of qualified applicants. I'll refrain from twisting the knife.

What’s weird is I remember reading about how McKay was the answer for the Scats mere months ago, and well after that. I guess he just lacked the intangibles that the Bobcat faithful seek in a QB.

They are following a poor coach to CSU. Norvell had the best overall team in the MWC this year and did nothing with it.
He claims to be leaving because facilities are better at CSU, I think he saw the talent graduating and jumped ship. He is leaving cupboards very bare as at least 5 top players are following him to Colorado.

Especially when the D stuffed the unbeatable MSU running game and the STs excelled as usual. The moron in the room is the guy in denial that it was a total beatdown. First, let me agree that the Griz offense was not exactly "lights out," and we all wanted more.

Still, the Scoring Offense was just under 30 ppg ... ranked in the top third of all FCS programs. That led to a ten-win season, something that 110 (of 123) other FCS teams could not achieve. Some guys/gals would bitch if they were about to be hung with an old rope.
