Badlands Bowl

The kid from Minot High (ND) kicked real well, but he wouldn't have been offered any money because the kicker NDSU currently has is on scholarship. If NDSU is at 85 scholarships he comes to NDSU instead of School of Mines in SD. FBS for the Great State of North Dakota! :thumb:

NDSU kids played great love seeing that montana is only 3-2 in last 5 years the gap has officially closed from when montana dominated this series. Goes to show how NDSU success has help lifted the HS game over here

Are you kidding me? Montana dominated the game! Montana moved the ball up and down the field all night. Montana faced the wind to start the game. ND only touchdown was on a 4th down from results of a Interception Inside the Montana 10.

In this series ND's wins have been by 9, 1, 24, 9, 3 and 3.
Montana wins have been by 9,25,9,42,45,33,9,14,45,24,19,40,26,21 and 14.

Montana has shut out ND twice and Montana' lowest score was 22.
ND has been held under 8 points 7 times. ND HS football is honestly a joke ya bunch of square heads!

Typical Montana arrogance, dominated the game? 5 yards rushing. Sounds like some of those kids will fit right in the Big Sky. I guess if being a joke means you win, I will take it, accept it, the gap is closing.

Montana was too one-dimensional on offense. Think Montana had the better athletes and definitely had an edge in speed, but ND seemed to have a better game plan and played smarter. The difference was special teams. Montana had trouble in the return game and that kicker for ND was clutch. ND was able to get points in the red zone and MT wasn't able to convert on drives.

Weyer played well. He does need to work on getting more comfortable in the pocket and using his foot work and size to buy time in the pass rush. Couple times where he could have stepped up and delivered instead of running out of the pocket and either getting sacked or throwing away bad passes. He has a D-1 arm and can make all the throws. Good accuracy on long balls. The talent is definitely there.

Both teams did a good job of pressuring the QB. DL on both teams dominated the opposing OL I thought, which isn't unusual in an all-star game. ND blitzed a lot and were in effective in doing so, but they also had a good idea of what MT was going to run every play.

Epperly, other than the int drop that would have won the game, looked like the best player on the field to me for either team. Very good closing speed and coverage awareness.

Thomas also stood out. Think he could be a good linebacker for us. Has good speed/strength and aggressiveness. Likes to hit.

Awesome insight. Good to hear about Epperly and I'm sure Weyer will get it with expierience.

Alex Thomas should have been the D MVP but hard to argue Eperly with a pick 6. Weyer will be good, he was the class of the game even with the picks.

In other news, the sun rose in the east again this morning. Undoubtedly this had something to do with NDSU...

The difference between App State and NDSU after a few good years is like the difference between Barry Sanders and Deion Sanders after a touchdown.

Been a fan of his for quite a while/awhile.

I use to think you were one of the more gifted/smarter/knowledgable posters on here. But, after reading CDA's brilliance, comparing you two seems like the "Barry Sanders and Deion Sanders after a touchdown" deal...all over again.

Love ya', bro'!

What, coaching good or bad can affect games? Hasn't this been posted on e-griz before????

Difference being, I fully admit my deficiencies when put up against the likes of CDA. :thumb:

Where were you tonight? I was drinking at McKenzie River Pizza and only Pols showed up!

Other than reading a few things from Rich about you being in town, I had no idea there were any plans to meet up for a few beers...

I woulda' really liked to have seen Pols. As of late, I find myself missing that cranky, old bastard!

Is there anything these NDSU f'tards won't spin into their jerkoff school?

Let's do a test: I saw a dog sh^t in a field on my way home today.

I await the response.

Too many Bozeman kids on what should have been a team the represented the best in the state, not the best of the Hawks minus Disley.
