FWIW.
Last year EWU pushed hard to get Gameday in Cheney for the FCS kickoff game against Sam Houston. The ultimate response / decision received was ESPN's talent (Corso, Herbstreit, etc) wouldn't even entertain the idea because their contracts don't have them start working until September 1. The game was August 28th . Rumor has it Desmond Howard was the only one who said he'd do it. The others said no way.

That would be great if y'all could get it for 2015 though . Good luck!

I think that is the hurdle to overcome. I am sure Musburger would agree to fill in for Fowler to come back to Missoula, and we know he enjoys looking at the bikinis floating down the river. Gameday wouldn't be the same without Herbstreit and Corso, but Palmer could fill in for Herbstreit. Not sure what to do about Corso, maybe a brochure for Paws Up ranch?

Actually, that's exactly what EWU was banking on. They had Colin Cowherd all lined up to do Gameday but the name and set and staff that works on Gameday only go with the on-air talent of Corso and Herbie and them. So Colin couldn't do it, even though Colin works for ESPN too. So Colin came, and did a lot that weekend, but couldn't host a pre-game show. Weird ESPN politics.

I think it was awesome if Gameday came and I am sure they could fill the three hours up with more than enough drama filled pre-season FBS talk, but according to people in the NDSU circles and Lee Fitting himself, it is highly likely Gameday returns to Fargo this fall, assuming NDSU starts the year undefeated. I find it very unlikely they go to two FCS locations.

I hope you guys make an attempt though. It would be awesome.

They did go to 2 FCS locations last year, so there is that, but I agree they will not go to both Missoula and Fargo. If they go to Fargo again ESPN should investigate if Lee Fitting is using ESPN money on fat prostitutes.

Yes they did go to an Ivy League school. I don't personally see them as FCS. More of a novelty and league of their own.

All jokes aside, UM could always go out and win multiple championships in a row, get a new FCS championship winning streak and overall winning streak going, beat multiple FBS teams, and I am sure Gameday would come rolling into town too. Would be no need for a Lee Fitting investigation.

Why the hell would Gameday want to come to EWU? To highlight the 2,000 fans you guys pull in for playoff games? Gameday at some high school venues would look better than at that shithole stadium in Cheney.

I honestly don't think its that hard of a sell. It's the opening D-I football game of the season correct? Its showcasing the 4 time defending NC Bison in arguably the best FCS atmosphere in FCS. Oh and to boot its a game featuring one of the most winning and stored programs in FCS.

This +1,000. Not going to happen, show doesn't premier until the next weekend. Some act like they can just throw together a 3 hour show in Montana with whoever wants to fill in and everything will work great. Not happening.

Idk how familiar you are yith our stadium set up, but the perfect lactation would be right next to the stadium on the river. tons of space and the stadium and mountains would be right in the background, also just less than a mile from there is a giant outdoor plaza right on the river and downtown that holds outdoor concerts and what not.

That might be a great lactation, but perfect? Dairy interesting, for sure. It doesn't suck. I wouldn't expect much feedback from these lactose-laden posters on eGriz. Most of them have to be nursed back to health after one night of drinking.

Quite the opposite . I think NDSU fans would love to see Gameday come to Missoula. If you guys get something going that gets the attention of everyone at ESPN, I am sure NDSU fans would join in to help. I just don't think an NDSU fan is going to be motivated to do anything initially when NDSU has already hosted Gameday twice and likely will a third time this year according to Lee Fitting.

Maybe someone should start a website or something that allows you to sign an e petition and then call ESPN to check it out. I think Missoula would be an excellent location and definitely would help showcase the FCS.

As far as the pissing contest goes, I take back nothing I said about EWU, their pathetic fan base and shithole Cheney. I went there in 2010 for the playoffs and couldn't wait to get the hell out of dodge.

Given the somewhat embarrassing lack of coverage and hype ESPN gave the FCS National Championship, there's no way they bring gameday to Missoula. NDSU won their 4th straight and got about 30 seconds on sportscenter. FCS just doesn't sell.
