The holding calls, or not, were every bit as bad as the pick up. And to address the thread question, yes the BSC officials are that bad.
Grisly Fan said:It has to be "indisputable video evidence" to overturn a call. When it takes that long to review a play then it fails the test. I quit watching the NFL a long time ago. Mostly a bunch of crybaby millionaires.

NativeGriz said:They got away with the exact same thing against Seattle earlier this year and it was the difference in the game. Seattle would have been in scoring position and put the game away. Detroit was rolling as well and probably wins the game if not for that call.

That happened with over 8 minutes left....8 minutes. They did not lose because of that call.

And - as Colin Cowherd pointed out this morning - they had 1 yard to go to convert a 4th down and they chose to punt???? Really?? They didn't have one single play in their playbook that would get them a yard?? Detroit beat themselves pure and simple.
IMO, the cowgals don't even make the playoffs without some ref help and they certainly don't win yesterday if they didn't have help. I agree 100% the gals outplayed the Hawks early in the season when Hawks were still dealing with Harvin/Tate BS and they were minus a couple of pro bowl defenders.BadlandsGrizFan said:NativeGriz said:They got away with the exact same thing against Seattle earlier this year and it was the difference in the game. The cowboys handled Seattle soundly...that game wasn't even as close as the score would have you believe.

I also agree 1 call does not determine a game (in most cases) but can if the call is at a specific time in the game, like when Sea beat GB a couple of years ago. In the games where the refs assisted the gals, Lions and Hawks both had momentum, the lead and were moving down the field before the mysterious no call in Seattle and the dumb founding flag pick up yesterday. That said, I am thankful-I did not want Seattle to play a hot Lions team. If the gals can some how beat GB, then Seattle will get another shot against dallas with a much healthier D. I would much rather play the gals again. Especially since Romo dropped some incentive in the post game interview by saying the Lions were by far the best D they have played all year. Sorry Brint, I have to say it. Go cowgals, beat GB.
Read everything before you post next time, it will help you respond more intelligently....maybe.grizd said:NativeGriz said:IMO, the cowgals don't even make the playoffs without some ref help and they certainly don't win yesterday if they didn't have help. Ugh. A Seahawks fan talking about bad calls. The Seahawks beat the Pack on the last play of the game. The Lions had a 4th and 1 from the 40ish yard line. If Caldwell has stones the Lions win. He doesn't, they lost, deal with it people. Face it, any team in the league has had it's fair share both ways.

I have a feeling he won't be toting the company/playerrep line. It only takes one official to ruin a great game!
grizpack said:I read earlier that the Head Ref for the NFL said it should have been PI. I didn't see it but the ref also said that the Cowboy receiver that ran on the field to argue with the ref without his helmet on should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. I will see if I can find the link again.
