What else to cat fans have to do this time of year though? Sure they could watch the playoffs (and teams who made it to the playoffs and out of the first round) but that'd be only like rubbing salt in the wound that is their mediocrity the past...uh....several decades.

So instead they meander on by here and make feeble attempts at trolling while trying to forget how this was supposed to be their best season ever.

Good post. While I think(as a griz fan) you have solid points, I will say that it seems the bison fanbase is about 50/50 about how they feel. Some are skeptically optimistic. They realize that they have the edge but they are well aware that they could get lit up by brady. I think this is probably the most realistic approach. Odds are they will dominate the TOP and run on us heavy and we don't get hot until too late with our offense. But there is a real possibility that Brady goes deep on them.

The other half of bison fans are fully convinced that their all-conference corner(who didn't play in the first game) has enough skill to cover the best fcs receiving corps. I think they are willfully ignorant but it's too easy when you win as much as they do. I mean...we STILL deal with that kind of ignorance on this board and we are all guilty of it from time to time.

Realized though, ignorance is bliss. I'm sure he views his talents and expects a Grammy as much as most of you think Stitt and Gregorack are great coaches and will bring home an FCS trophy.

Oh little brothers... You all would be just as well off rooting for the Cats.

Threads like this boggle me. Folks... We barely made the playoffs. Our last few wins were against teams who struggled toward the end of their seasons. We are playing the four time national champs on their field after embarrassing them on national tv earlier this year. We do not have coaches with supreme intelligence who have seasoned records of correct adjustments or wins against top opponents. We are nothing but mediocre.
When the Griz have a defense that can actually shut top ten teams out; only then should we enter games like this with any confidence in victory. Until we can prove a level of dominance with our defense we are fools to brag and expect wins over NDSU. The U of M tradition and stadium gives its coaches the best athletes in all of FCS. If a coach can't display their obvious advantage of talent on the field, why as a fan would you so blindly pledge your loyalty?
As much as Aplha annoys the f&@$ out of me I would side with him over Playarapes blind optimism and ridiculous what if equations. He says he played the game, but for some reason forgets the level of excellence required to win.
