Are the Bison shaking in their boots?

Great post PR. I agree with all of it, especially two points, matching up against Jamal-Ellis-Ben and having Wentz out. Both are going to be yuuuge factors in the outcome.

I think their QB makes them a more dangerous team than before. He is a really good runner, and throws pretty damn well too. Just well enough where if we stack the box, he has the ability to make it hurt.

Answer...Gamboa! Who'm we didnt have in the 1st meeting. He could honestly be more important in this game than VA could have been to the team, just because of his side to side speed. I garauntee Wentz would have had at least 20-30 less rush yards!

Did you not watch Wentz run in the first game?

Wow! Let's get back to reality.
Threads like this boggle me. Folks... We barely made the playoffs. Our last few wins were against teams who struggled toward the end of their seasons. We are playing the four time national champs on their field after embarrassing them on national tv earlier this year. We do not have coaches with supreme intelligence who have seasoned records of correct adjustments or wins against top opponents. We are nothing but mediocre.
When the Griz have a defense that can actually shut top ten teams out; only then should we enter games like this with any confidence in victory. Until we can prove a level of dominance with our defense we are fools to brag and expect wins over NDSU. The U of M tradition and stadium gives its coaches the best athletes in all of FCS. If a coach can't display their obvious advantage of talent on the field, why as a fan would you so blindly pledge your loyalty?
As much as Aplha annoys the f&@$ out of me I would side with him over Playarapes blind optimism and ridiculous what if equations. He says he played the game, but for some reason forgets the level of excellence required to win.
welcome back, growler, atlanta griz, dill. Your new moniker fits you well.

Going out on a limb and gonna say that is not growler

I was led to believe they were spending vast amounts of time unplugging all vital electronic equipment in advance of the impending Power Shift.
Dang!

Stick has breakaway speed; reputedly the fastest player on the team.

I can assure you that the Bison and every other team in the nation would rather have Wentz playing in this game.....so arguing that playing Stick is somehow making them more dangerous or better....doesnt make any sense to me.

Good post PR. I don't think the Bison are shaking in there boots, but I do wonder if there might just be a bit of doubt in their brains.

Agree, I'm sure theyll be ready and fired up...what I have noticed is a slightly less cocky fan base as of late..actually having to play a team and program like Montana that has already beat you...has been to multiple big games in program history..and matches up so well against what your 4 peat championship team does will do that to you I suppose...I'm sure theyre still expecting a victory tho.

The way our Griz have played as of late also has Montana expecting a win also..which is a change. I don't think most teams that come into Fargo for a playoff game EXPECT to win the game as far as fan bases go!

That's not saying much.

Good post PR. I would only add that the Bison have demonstrated that they can lose in their precious mini-dome this year (to a supposedly much inferior University of South Dakota team). Cowboy Joe did his part for the Griz- planting that seed of doubt that when the wheels start to come loose...

Good post PR. I would add that the Griz can play with a little attitude to prove the 17 point underdog thing is wrong and I believe the Griz can also play looser because they basically have less to lose. All the pressure is on the Bison.

I'd argue it's their entire fan base (because we know that's barely 120 strong), but based on the shitty spelling an syntax, I'm guessing that 80% of the trolls are 2506 and papag with multiple screen names. Seems to mesh with their intelligence levels as well.

First rule of making fun of another poster's spelling...

No, we are not shaking in our boots. At least I am not shaking, since I am a double amputee and cannot wear boots. Stupid high fructose corn syrup. I thought fat was the new black.

...when they left the smoke and awe...
...their collective asses were kicked...

... 8-) ...

Denial is not a river in Egypt little brothers. It's a river running through Hellgate Canyon fed by the springs of old men living in the memories of past victories.
Relevance is today gentlemen. Not what we used to be over a decade ago.

Remember, only time will tell if Stitt is who we hope, since a watched clock never boils. We may win some, and lose track, but comparing this year's team with past years is low hanging apples and oranges. We may have one more home game and we may not, but we'll burn that bridge when we come to it. I prefer to take the path of a different drummer and choose to believe that, though times are tough as nails, what goes up must come down the Pike.

Take that to the bank and smoke it!
